On Sunday, April 13, 2025, King Charles III and Queen Camilla attended a Sunday service at Crathie Kirk in Aberdeenshire, near Balmoral estate, where a new piece of music by composer Paul Mealor was performed to mark their 20th wedding anniversary. Mealor has composed music for numerous royal events, including the wedding of Prince William and Princess Catherine, and King Charles’s coronation in May 2023.
During the service, King Charles and Queen Camilla listened to a new composition by Professor Paul Mealor, written as a tribute to their milestone 20th wedding anniversary. Titled The Weather of My Being, the piece consists of three anniversary songs, each reflecting a different aspect of enduring love.
I like the fit of the queens coat. Suits her well.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very hazardous combination of colors IMV
ReplyDeleteDon’t know about hazardous but it’s certainly strange. The hat just doesn’t go with the coat. The coat itself is nice.
DeleteIt is a deconstructed interpretation of her husband's kilt. Every one of her pieces can be found in his kilt and tie. I actually like it, and think it works.

@03.38 ... this is also my POV ... it works perfect ... and the shoes and bag are in the colours of her coats collar ...
DeleteThe colour of the hat and the colour of her coat don't match - strange combination. And old-fashioned look.
DeleteIt looks like a perfect combination of colors to me. People have been dressing in red and blue for centuries. It looks fun and compliments both her coat and her wonderful hat. Younger royals would do well in taking some inspiration from Queen Camilla styling, not just her clothing but also the way she layers her bracelets.

No, the Queen's hat does not coordinate with the coat at all.
ReplyDeleteFrom a distance, the hat is rather shocking. Up close, we can see there is red in the tartan, so that helps. Do we have any idea what brand the Queen's shoes are? They are sensible, yet luxurious at the same time.
DeleteI think the shoes might be from Eliot Zed, a brand also used by Queen Sonja. They look great for her age, comfort and outfit. She’s looking terrific in this colour palette, and coordinating excellently with her husband’s tartan. - Mary
DeleteThe happy couple!
ReplyDeleteI thing a green hat would have look better, it would have match the shoes and her handbag.

💯
Deletethe hat does not match with the jacket, perhaps a dark blue hat
ReplyDeleteThey look sharp! Nice outfits. Christine
ReplyDeleteElégant manteau bien coupé à la belle couleur mais comme déjà précisé, le chapeau dans une couleur verte comme le sac à mains et les chaussures serait plus flatteur !
ReplyDeleteHorrible. Light blue coat, red hat, green shoes and handbag !
ReplyDeleteBeautifully coordinated colours across Charles and Camilla, echoing his tartan. Very smart and very Scottish. Loving it!
DeleteI would guess the red hat was to try and tie into the red in the Kings outfit and the tiny red line in her tartan. Maybe there is another significance to the colour for Palm Sunday
ReplyDeleteI don’t know if the combination of 3/4 colors is really working. The coat is a lovely fit, which we’ve come to expect from Queen Camilla, but the green shoes and burgundy hat the blue coat and white top, looks a little chaotic.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
Very nice coat and color. Charles is OK wearing a kilt, never seen William wear one.

Alot of mixed colours. I am going to suggest she leaves a wardrobe at Balmoral for when she is in residence, so puts together from the pieces there. Just my thought
ReplyDeleteWell, as everyone has already said it: perhaps a green hat would have been better choice. I wonder if there is a story behind the hat or the color.
ReplyDeleteI was totally a Lady Di fan and almost per definition I dislike Camilla. However I was wrong she has done a wonderful job: she took all the negative media, slowly but firmly she has flourished into her role and is a great companion to the king. They really seem to enjoy each other's company.
Happy anniversary and many more to come!
Luna
I think the blue, green and red toning of Camilla’s outfit go very well together here! I like the hat very much and how, to celebrate their anniversary, they have their colours intertwined. A very romantic gesture!
DeleteI like this tartan look for Camilla. The red hat reflects the stripe in the collar. No boots, instead interesting shoes and matching handbag, perky and perfect.

Of course very strange colour combi, but both soooo relaxed: love it!
ReplyDelete( Charles in kilt: always good!)
