On December 7, 2022, The Queen Consort received children from Helen & Douglas House and Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity at the Clarence House to help decorate the Clarence House Christmas tree. The Queen Consort is the patron of Helen & Douglas House and Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.
Helen & Douglas House helps families cope with the challenges of looking after a terminally ill baby, child or young adult. Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity provides specialist nurses for a range of conditions to ensure all seriously ill children and their families receive the support they need and deserve.
Simply marvellous. The look of wonderment on some of the children's faces, beautiful to see. The Queen Consort looks lovely in her red dress, very festive.
ReplyDeleteAgree totally. Love the red dress

Lovely event! And everyone looks so festive!
ReplyDeleteI love the colour on Q. Camilla, and the dress silhouette is flattering, but I wish these dresses were made with the zipper in the back rather than the front like a dressing gown. The short cape overtop is functional I guess but not particularly flattering. I’m assuming she’s wearing her all-purpose suede boots too.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful event and clearly the children are delighted. (V.M.)
You nailed it. It looks like a housecoat. A fancy one, but still. She does look lovely in the red and the children are all adorable!

DeleteI've checked it out on another site and yes, she is wearing the boots again.
Her brigade (6?) of “Queens companions”, that is, ex Ladies-in-Waiting will have to hold her down and drag those boots off her before the Coronation.
On a positive note, admiration must be given for her work with this charity. Hope all these kids have a great Christmas with happy memories of their visit to Clarence House.
Lovely photos!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful occasion for these children and their families. Queen Camilla's dress is in the style that she continuously favours but it suits her very well. The red is a cheerful colour appropriate for the festivities.
Camilla looks great what a difference a nice bright colour makes. Her hair and makeup look just right. What a fun occasion; I like the reindeer, is it Rudolph? (Tara)
ReplyDeleteAgree with you all; warming pictures of Q.Camilla and the children. Red is really a good lively colour for her,

The look of awe on the faces of the two girls in picture three is so touching. I've have had the pleasure of seeing photos of this annual event for several years and I am always moved by the way (now) Queen Camilla gently and joyfully moves among the children. I love the queen's red dress, even with the zipper. As a woman of her approximate age, I can appreciate the convenience of well placed zippers and buttons.
ReplyDeleteGreat of Camilla to stay with the Charity. She really seems to care about these children she made their day. She looks stunning in red. css
ReplyDeleteQueen Camilla looks lovely her pretty Christmas red dress! The children are so excited and happy--and adorable too. Their faces say it all. I cannot imagine what it must be like emotionally for Camilla to host this marvelous event for these terminally ill children but she shows such joy and big smiles. I think she is wearing her heart on her sleeve every year at this event and I am so happy that she will continue to bring such love and happiness into the lives of the children and their loved ones.

ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most lovely event of the Christmas season, the joy of the children is priceless, Queen Camilla is providing great memories to the children and their families, and she looks fantastic in her red dress.
