Queen Sonja attended the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian Church Endowment (Ovf - Opplysningsvesenets fond) at Vestre Aker episcopal residence in Oslo. The aim of Ovf is to create sustainable financial results and deliver the financial outcome and provide homes to the benefit of the Church. One of the fund’s major obligations is to provide homes for the Norwegian Church’s clergy. 88 of these residences are listed cultural heritage properties.
Queen Sonja attended a concert organised by Queen Sonja International Music Competition, at Oslo Opera House. The Queen Sonja International Music Competition is a music competition for young singers taking place every two years in Oslo. The semifinals and finals are currently planned for 24th October and 20th November respectively. The Queen is patron of a number of institutions associated with classical and folk music.
ReplyDeleteThe white trouser suit is a bit too "Elvis" for me but prefer the outfit at the concert.
ReplyDeleteLet's see... I'll be outside standing next to a wheelbarrow filled with a big pile of dirt... I think I'll go entirely in white. ~Laurel~
DeleteI like both the outfits very much. Queen Sonja is a lovely lady.

I agree. Beautiful and elegant as always!
DeleteLove, love, love the Queen's white suit, very chic! The concert outfit not so much, but love her necklace.
ReplyDeleteShe looks nice in both outfits, I like the white jacket in the first pictures with the black detail, it would look great with black pants too (looks black, may be navy). However, I love the second outfit. Those colors look fantastic, very chic. The stripes are just right, not too much.

The Queen seems very youthful and vivacious, but I'd choose another pair of white shoes, if I was her. Maybe even black suede low heels to match piping in the outfit.
ReplyDeleteSince it looks like it's going to be the only occasion to say this. Happy 20 years wedding celebration to Haakon and Mette-Marit today. And to Ingrid Alexandra after her positiv covid test. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteAnne.
