Princess Charlene of Monaco has started a fundraising campaign named #ChasingZero, which is aimed at the preservation of rhinos. The Princess has announced the new campaign on her Instagram account and released a new video message together with several photos. In her video message, the Princess said: "By protecting the rhinos, we’re conserving their habitat, which is beneficial for people and wildlife, supporting our local communities, and ensuring a legacy for future generations."
Funding received during the campaign will be used to support the efforts of anti-poaching organizations and initiatives in South Africa. In May of 2021, Princess Charlene of Monaco embarked in a trip to her native South Africa for the purpose of carrying out work on conservation with her Foundation. Her trip, was only meant to last around 10 days but soon after her arrival she sought medical help as she was experiencing problems with her ears. Her medical team has told her not to fly until she recovers from the ear, nose and throat infection that has resulted in multiple complicated surgeries.
I don't know what can I say.
ReplyDeleteIf I look at her I always think where is stamina, cheer and smile?
Vivien
The parody here is that Charlene is smiling on the first photo and lately we have seen her smile on many photos, but still we see this kind of negativity....
DeleteTrudy
Smile with sad eyes. It's right. Parody.
DeleteVivien
Stupid name, but other than that a great initiative
ReplyDeleteThe premise of “Chasing Zero” is to reduce the number of deaths caused by harm to zero. #chasingzero

Chasing Zero...same as approaching extinction. She is very dedicated to this cause. Ann B
DeleteAs someone who spent many years in Africa where these beautiful creatures roamed freely so close to where we lived, my heart goes out for their plight.

Sorry but that second picture is just scary 😳
ReplyDeleteGood initiative though! Wildlife needs our attention and care.
Its a wonderful initiative, so proud of what she is doing.
ReplyDeleteHowever the campaign photo, raises eyebrows!

Oh, Anonymous 16:04, didn't you watch the video??!! Asking where is the stamina and cheer? The video was all about stamina. Finally, after all these years she is showing stamina, energy and enthusiasm. So far, she was like a sleepwalking beauty, nodding her hair, stretching her lips to a barren smile. She woke up and found her purpose. I bet she feels more useful than ever in her life. Well done, lady! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThe campaign photo is provocative and eyekatching - exactly as it should be.
Her purpose? For the past 9 years she has been raning the Princess of Charlene Foundation which teaches children water safety and sports education.

She never made the impression to me that she liked her role as princess.
DeleteNever.

One can only wish the best to Charlene for her health! Speedy recovery! Her initiative: wonderful, but only if the money goes to the right "channel". Her looks: well, that's another thing. As a beautiful woman that she was made by mother nature, she should stop visiting the Beauty-Doc. I like her.
ReplyDeleteAh, je retrouve notre belle Charlène sur la première photo en couleurs mais quand j'ai vu la deuxième, je me suis demandée si c'était bien elle !
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is lovely. The second one looks straight out of a horror movie and should be reconsidered.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteThis is a wonderful initiative. It is nice to see her so passionate about it. I hope her message will get through to the people that need to hear it. I like both photos. She is so beautiful. The black and white, which some don't like, is the one that I find the most interesting. If nothing else, it has you talking, which is the point. Poaching rhinos for their horns is a critical problem. The different species are going extinct or are extinct. ~d
ReplyDeleteAs time goes, more and more questions about her. So she is an ill person who is actively working. The intention is good but not sure all this can be understood clearly. She seems to have started a new career while still being connected to Monaco.
ReplyDeletethis was done months ago in May!
DeleteI actually think the black and white photo depicts a fierce woman dedicated to her cause.
ReplyDelete...ck
Incredible ground breaking work.
ReplyDeleteWe maybe forget that HerSereneHigh ess is a competitive athlete and that personality often takes a lot of energy and care but these people achieve greatness.
Wonderful initiative to protect wildlife. More and more I have the idea that she wants to have her own life, doing things that matter. She never made the impression to me that she liked her role as princess.
ReplyDeleteWe are just begining to see how she wants to make a difference as a princess, how she wants to be seen and considered. She is usually a little shy. She is a great human being. It is so sad to see that she lacks so much self-confidence.
DeleteGreat fundraising …… but I'm still wondering about her continuinging stay in South Africa and the reason we have got.
ReplyDeleteAway from her children and no visit from her husband during the long stay. Looking back, she attracted attention with strange statements and hairstyles this year.
Hope she can return home healthy to the family soon.

Agree!
DeleteThe video made me seriously re-think my previously not-so-charitable opinion of Charlene (beautiful as she may be). She seemed convincing and committed, a woman on a mission. Since this is a fashion blog, however, I should add that she looks chic both in the pic and video. As always.
ReplyDeleteWow, what stunning photos. The first, so beautiful and natural. The second is so grabbing, jarring. Great initiative.
ReplyDeleteChel
What a great initiative Charlene. Mzansi is behind you all the way. You are our princess of Monaco with a good course.
ReplyDeleteThe weirdness of it all!
ReplyDeleteA great initiative, she should stay on and do this instead. She is more dedicated and happy like this. Never gave an impression of being satisfied and happy with being the princess of Monaco.
Get a divorce and let everyone be happy. Divide the time of the kids, spends some time in
Monaco.
???
DeleteHow presumptuous. Are you really going to be so glib about suggesting that her family be ripped apart, based on nothing other than your "impression"?
DeleteSeveral reliable "Royal" sites have today (13 August) announced that the Princess Charlene underwent a four hour operation under general anesthetic in South Africa.
ReplyDeleteIt appears the Palace has made an official statement. I have only read this information in French and haven't yet seen any statement in English.
If the above facts are correct, I wish her, with my whole heart, a speedy recovery and a rapid return to family life with Prince Albert and her children.
Yes, I read this same information and join you with my best wishes for a speedy recovery for this wonderful Princess.
DeleteP.
I don't know why she married Albert. She was with him years before wedding. She wasnt young or naive. He apparently worried that her laid back style wouldnt cope with tedious Royal life. He is right. Her duty priority should be towards her children and Albert, Monaco.I dont think she likes Monaco at all.
ReplyDeleteI agree.

halo
ReplyDeletePoetry for The Season (especially to Princess Charlene & Family).
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a Christ-born night, The angels sang with all their might!
Filled with awe & reverent fear,
Raised their trumpets,
Drawing ever so near.
Waiting to see The Master's Best,
Knowing He came to redeem mankind & nothing less.
He came to shepherds
Watching their flocks by night.
So humble & meek,
Not wanting to fight.
Unlike the Pharisees,
Pompous & witty,
Missed This Redemptive Saviour, O, what a pity.
They plotted & planned an insurrection, not knowing This Saviours Resurrection!
Shiloh had come right to their door.
They did not need to search further anymore.
Complete Truth was wrapped in swaddling clothes,
When He came as a Substitute for man's sinful woes.
He is The Key to Heaven's opening gates.
There is No Other Name under Heaven.
All else is fate!
So rejoice. The KING has come!
When He Said, "It is finished!"
The work was done!!!
Kind regards
