ReplyDeleteI would of liked her shirt to be buttoned alittle higher to it doesn’t disappear in the jacket. Maybe it is a size to large to sit well. I feel she is too short to wear these wide leg pants with that longer jacket. The proportion is off. She does look lovely despite the ensemble.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a very smart suit. It's well tailored and fits D. Sophie well. Because of the volume of the trousers I prefer the slim striped sweater underneath. The Chloe blouse looks sloppy here but could look great without a jacket. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI agree that the button down jacket with the sweater looked a lot better on the Duchess’ previous engagement. Also, the pants are too wide for her frame.
ReplyDeleteThe jacket is fine but badly styled. Wrong blouse, wrong hair, wrong trousers, wrong shoes.
ReplyDeleteIf one look at the last picture where her hair is loose and she is wearing a top under the jacket instead of a shirt blouse which does not stay in place, this is so much better. I cannot see what kind of trousers she is wearing on that picture but the trousers she is wearing today are nothing for her with her short height. I have nothing against wider trousers but the width of these legs are really exaggerated. The color of her shoes does not match either.
Anon 18:56 doesn’t seem to be an outfit you like, as opposed to being “wrong”. I like Sophie’s outfit. Soft hair pulled back matched very well with the pretty blouse and the classic jacket is gorgeous. The blouse collar has slipped a bit for these photos, but let’s not forget that they represent a couple of seconds of the event only, and perhaps she’d just put back on the jacket for the photos without having access to a mirror. I don’t love the wide trouser style on anyone at all and can’t wait for it to depart.

ReplyDeleteLa combinaison est une bonne idée. Mais le look final est peu appréciable.
Il aurait fallu un pantalon moins large, ou droit, pourquoi pas ! De même qu’une paire d’escarpins de couleur sombre ou des tons de son chemisier.
Néanmoins, j’ai beaucoup de l’affection pour cette duchesse. Elle est authentique, et semble ne pas jouer un rôle.
