President of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir, and her husband, Björn Skúlason, are undertaking a three-day state visit to Norway. On April 8, 2025, President Tómasdóttir and Mr. Skúlason were officially welcomed by King Harald and Queen Sonja at Palace Square in Oslo. Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, and Princess Astrid were also present at the welcoming ceremony.
Brock Collection Coatdress
Love the white coat dress on Princess Ingrid Alexandra and the contrasting black coat on Crown Princess Mette-Marit. Queen Sonja’s light blue coat and hat is nice, but the black shoes shorten her. Princess Astrid must be an inspiration to all working Royals, what stamina at 93.
ReplyDeleteAnd she has her little dog on her lap. As you say an inspiration.
-Dorothe-
ReplyDeleteFrom the back, I thought we were having another version of a black jumper on Mette-Marit, similar to Camilla's. Seeing the front of it, I am so happy to see the double-breasted cut. Though she may never wear it without a blouse, I think it would look so much better worn alone. It was probably designed to be worn without anything under it. Ingrid Alexandra looks lovely in her mother's coat. Now that she has completed her military training, I would expect her to be at more official functions and start acquiring her own working wardrobe. I look forward to seeing the individuality in her choices. Up to this point, she has worn quite a few of her mother's things.
ReplyDeleteGood to see fresh Royals. Ingrid looks lovely, she needs to adjust her mother's recycled outfits, she is slighter smaller and shorter than mom.
ReplyDeleteAll very nicely dressed. I like the cut , colour and style of the queens coat. I had hoped her comfy shoes would stay in the closet, the cut is not flattering, but the colour matches. princess Ingrid just back home quick switch from fatigues to dresses. She looks great. The king and his sister are such troopers. Her hat is not the best choice, but bringing her dog along is so special.
ReplyDeleteHow can Mette-Marit show herself?
ReplyDeleteHow dare you make such a statement and worse still - it was printed on this blog. Mette - Marit is an inspiration to me and so many others. The young princess looks delightful. Just watch your feet and keep them straight in photographs -- like your mom's graceful footing. :)
DeleteActually, I dare not imagine what you mean exactly ... and prefer not know.
DeleteIf this is the only way you think you have to get some attention from others, here you are, you have my attention too.
DeleteBut you also have my absolute repulsion for what you wrote.
You have no mercy on this sick lady.
Disgusting.
With due respect for the Icelandic guests and the prominence of this official visit, I am incredibly glad to see CP Mette- Marit participating in this welcoming ceremony.
ReplyDeletePrincess Ingrid Alexandra is spectacular.
Well done.
MM is wearing a Dior blazer dress. They all look great. Can't wait to see what they are wearing to the gala dinner.
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteThe skirt of Princess Ingrid Alexandra's white coat (a rewear which belonged to her mother) is too wide for her. It fitted her mother better. Don't they have a dress maker to adapt their clothes ?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they have.
DeleteNevertheless, it is up to Princess Ingrid Alexandra to choose how she wants her clothes to fit her.
Re her hair:
It is most likely that after a long training period in the army and with her hair pulled back on a daily basis, she might want to feel free for a while.
Hence, she opts for hair styles appropriate for the gorgeous young lady she is.
Softer and more feminine styles suit her beautifully.
