On April 13, 2025, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, Princess Beatrice, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and Princess Eugenie attended Race Day at the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix, held at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. The Bahrain Grand Prix, officially known as the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, is a Formula One motor racing event.
Sarah Ferguson wore a biker jacket by AN-Y1. Princess Beatrice chose an ecru dress by Sezane, while Princess Eugenie wore a forest green ruched crepe midi dress by Reformation.

So nice to see them. I like Beatrice dress, it looks lovely. It seems all the Yorks are there, I did not see Jack, does anyone know if they took the girls too?

Oh my what is Sarah thinking of with that biker jacket. She has always had a liking of zippered garments, just no for me The girls have okay dresses.
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteLa robe Sezane est très jolie mais je la .préfère portée par le mannequin que par la princesse.
ReplyDeleteNothing special among the dresses of the British ladies. I hope their horses are doing better. First Zara and now the York sisters.
ReplyDeleteAnd isn’t it nice to see them all? Always apppreciate glimpses of the wider royal families. Agree that there’s nothing special among the dresses.
DeleteThe print of the dress of Beatrice is imv too busy as well as the puffed sleeves and different print at the cuffs. It's all too much. Dress Eugenie okay, although black is not my favourite colour for her.
ReplyDeleteRead the description above. Eugenie is wearing forest green.
DeleteBeatrice probably didn’t use her dresser in picking out that dress. It’s unattractive and way too busy I agree. She has been looking much better lately when using a professional except for this dress.
DeleteThe British ladies sure loves Bahrain, is it near Britain?
ReplyDeletei think the connect is the Bahrain royal family cause they tend to show up at Royal Ascot in the Royal carriages
DeleteEugenie's dress is not black but beautiful deep green. I think too that Beatrice's dress is a little bit busy but so are many dresses this year. I do not like Sarah's outfit but is nice to see her with her daughters.
ReplyDeleteLooking pretty warm to wear a leather jacket in Bahrain? I love watching the royals and tiaras and their events … for me it’s a magic away from real life and I do think in various ways they can do good… but sometimes … like this … several being seen having flown far away just to watch a car race? … it reminds me that they are not always magical but very rich people, willing and able to hop on private jets, and fly in for events that damage the environment and do no good at all.
ReplyDeleteYes, I feel the same way. For me, the York family members are not jewels in the British Crown - and mostly, not even a pleasant sight from the fashion point of view.
DeleteI agree with 19:06. Their taste in clothing is not always the best it can be.
DeleteBest dressed here is Edo in his gorkha pants, button down English cutaway collar shirt and his shades.
ReplyDeleteI think you are right, but I wouldn’t for the world like to be seen at an event like that
Delete@anon11:54 from what I can see that is not a button down shirt, but I agree he is the best dressed here
DeleteFrom the front, Eugenie’s hair looks very good on her (from the side, not so much). I think she might look very cute in a short style with just a bit of height on top. And I love her sunglasses. And Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi — the man is elegance from head to foot. — Jane
ReplyDeleteEverything I see is rather appalling for me. As for Beatrice, this is surprising, she can do so much better lately. Eugenie and Sarah can - well, seldom do better., Eugenie lacks taste most of the time and Sarah manages to choose either too tight or otherwise unfitting clothing, this time this terrible jacket. All three of them look as if they got out of bed and put on something at hand, grabbed their mobiles and went out, without even combing their hair at least in a ponytail. Somehow very untidy, their whole appearance. It does not make me happy to acknowledge that they represent, even if unofficially, royalty as part of the family.
ReplyDeleteAgree on everything you said!
DeleteLove the York princesses, personally. There is no return for their father but really wish the princesses had a bigger role. Likewise Zara Phillips
DeleteEn regardant mieux, c'est la robe Sezane de la princesse Béatrice qui a ma préférence !

DeleteI think it’s the multitude of lanyards that makes everyone look scruffy, as all the clothes are fine. Well, Sarah’s leather jacket is a tad costume-y for a motor racing event, and Eugenie’s hair is not great in profile. I agree with a previous comment that she’d look great in a pixie hairstyle though.

ReplyDeleteI think the trip to Bahrain Grand Prix F1 is a private event for Sarah, her daughters and son-in-law. They are not representing the royal family here and are probably not happy that the tabloids took their pictures and now there is speculation about what they were doing there, why they were there and what they were wearing.
ReplyDeleteTherefore, I will not evaluate their fashion. I think it would NOT be fair, proper and tasteful decent to publish and evaluate photos and fashion - from PRIVATE EVENTS, where they DO NOT represent the country, the royal family or do some kind of charity. I appeal to the author of the blog not to publish private photos of members of the royal family.
I also would not like it if someone snooped on me and my vacation and took pictures of me.
Stephanie
Dear Stephanie, yes, a private visit (financed by whomever - none of our business). But they know very well that they are going to be photographed, and considering their status as member of the royal family and thereby representing royalty, they can very well take care of how they look - as Mr. Mapelli Mozzi does. Casual does not have to look like the Yorks look this time. No need for excuses for bad taste.

DeleteThey might not be there as an official representation, but this can hardly be called a private event. The photographers (and/or press) are invited to be there on events like this. Even though they are not posing on the photo's we see here, we're also not looking at paparazzi pictures.
I agree with @anon19:58: they are part of the BRF, and they know they are going to be photographed by attending this.
They have not an ounce of dress sense between them !it’s something one is born with
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that Beatrice has post weight and dressed better since marrying. Probably the Italian influence. The sisters' dress sense was really bizarre before.
