Why is she ‘shoulder robing’ het coat in het own Palace? Bit strange when someone is visiting you, it looks if she is in a hurry and it was absolutely not cold in the Netherlands. Anyway nice picture, there is a lot to see in this room…..

Maybe she is cold. Maybe the heat went out. Since none of us have ever been in the palace, we can't know why. This falls in the same place as complaints of Camilla wearing her boots inside her home. Neither are a big deal.

She is doing this so people on this blog have something else to complain about instead of her hair ;-)

    3. Anon 15 41 I totally agree with you. Why would you drape a coat over your shoulders in your own house when you were receiving a guest? It’s a lovely coat but still seems strange

Beautiful coat like all the ones of Max Mara. But why wearing it inside

  3. Je remarque que la couleur de ce manteau a la préférence de quelques dames ; cela ne me dérange pas du tout de le voir porté sur les épaules à l'intérieur du palais !

In the queen’s defence perhaps they have just come in or about to go out to view the beautiful gardens. As far as I know it is not the residence, but the office of the king. So she may have just arrived by car. Regardless it is a nice colour green on the queen. Interesting delicate lace collar on Retno, perhaps made in the Netherlands.

The (small garden) is open for public, I live there nearby, it is always full with various types of people, not really a quiet and safe place for the queen to a walk. The lace collar of Mrs Marsudi is not typical Dutch.

Me too, I thought I recognized the office of King Willem Alexander. During the pandemic the room used by Queen Maxima to hold her video conferences was also very attractive she was usually sitting on a long desk or table behind her computer. Behind her back there was a beautiful mantle piece. There were always beautiful flower arrangements in the room.
