Seems just fine for business meetings where she speaks with expertise and to experts. Skirt, shirt and heels, very neat. I don’t understand the “oh dear”, but “oh well”.

I don't understand the "oh dear" either. Maybe just a knee jerk reaction to Maxima without really looking at what she is wearing.

Maxima, nice outfit, too bad the hair looks so unkept and odd lengths.

  3. La couleur rouille de son haut s'associe à merveille avec celle de sa jupe !

    1. Yes, I also think this fits nicely together regarding color and probably style, although we don't see very well. Good choice, Maxima.

She looks fine for this meeting, but only the unflattering haircut surprises me time and time again. I have also thin hair, but a blunt hair cut makes really a huge difference….

A nice business look, the leather skirt seems stiff, the colours are nice and the fit perfect.I am not criticizing her hair, but it seems like it is cut in an odd way, which perhaps to give her fine hair volume. It is the first time I see these layers, and fine thin hair doesn’t photograph well. I bet she looks great in person and it is not as noticeable.

It is not a leather skirt, but one in waxed linen. The blouse and skirt are both a rewair. Queen Mathilde has the same skirt. She wore it again last winter.
About the hair, in two days it is King's day in The Netherlands, I assume her hairstyle will be completely different.

Until know it has been too cold to wear spring clothes. Even on days with much sun there was always that wind from North or North East or both as well in Belgium and The Netherlands. Probably also in the North of France and other European countries. For next week the weather forecasts have announced better weather, warmer and more sunshine.

!@18:00 My goodness, there are 5 months ahead to see spring/summer clothes, depending on the weather where the royal ladies live/visit. Yes, it's the end of April; but in many places it's still rather cool. ~~Ruthie
