On April 16, 2025, Queen Margrethe celebrated her 85th birthday at Fredensborg Palace, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and sisters. That evening, a banquet was held in the Dome Hall of the palace. King Frederik, Princess Benedikte, and Queen Anne-Marie attended the celebration.
The table was adorned with freshly blossomed branches and Easter eggs that the Queen herself had painted over the years.
During the dinner, Queen Margrethe was surprised by a choral performance from the Saint Annæ Girls’ Choir. Afterwards, the Pantomime Theatre presented excerpts from various ballets, including Clumsy Hans, for which the Queen had designed the costumes herself.

ReplyDeleteQueen Daisy is simply marvellous, she and both her sisters look impeccable, Daisy with a quirk so typical for her and so nice to look at. Never for a moment does she slip into a ridiculous territory by refusing to wear so-called "age appropriate" clothes.
