The day after Danish Princess Isabella's 18th birthday, the royal family shared a thank you message from the princess on social media. The thank you message from Princess Isabella of Denmark was accompanied by a "behind the scenes" photo from the shoot of the very first gala portraits of the princess.
In her thank you message, the princess wrote, "Thank you so much to everyone who helped celebrate my 18th birthday. It has truly been wonderful that so many have taken the time, thoughts, and effort to make my day so special. It means a lot to me."
In the photo, Princess Isabella appears to be caught off guard while typing something on the phone she is holding, smiling as she looks at the photographer. The photographer was none other than Princess Isabella's mother. It was Queen Mary who took the photo of Princess Isabella, and that photo was later used in the princess’s thank you note.
For the portraits, Princess Isabella wore a new orange dress designed by Carina Grønning. She also wore the antique Turquoise Daisy Bandeau and matching turquoise and diamond earrings — both gifts from her grandmother, Queen Margrethe II.
Qu'elle est belle ; je ne peux détacher mon regard de cette photo avec ses yeux bleus magnifiques !

This is a great photo. Mobile phone meeting traditions :)
ReplyDeleteYes, this is beautiful. This should be her official picture.
ReplyDeleteThis photo of Isabella with big smile on her face, looks more fun and cheerful compared to her official photos previously posted.
ReplyDeleteI do not like this tiara on the photos but when Isabella wears it, then the tiara with those earrings look wonderful on her.

Agree, this photo is more Isabella than the other ones. More natural and relaxed.
DeleteOh such a lovely young lady. A friendly smile, and such beautiful blue eyes.
ReplyDeleteLove these pics, thanks for sharing 🙂
This is a very lovely private picture. But I like it exactly the way she wanted it to be: a private one, not part of the official portrait series. I can see enough very pretty girls with a mobile in their hands wherever I go, but my expectation towards royalty and above all, towards an official portrait, is not that they should be shown in their everyday life, this is simply not what their official public role is about.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, such expectations for a young royal, it is not like this will hang in the palace as her official portrait. This is a fabulous photo
DeleteSomeone has watched too many times "The Crown"... ;)
DeleteNow, that's a lovely picture, tradition meets modern times.

DeleteOh my 🥰 Queen Mary seems to take the best pictures,,
ReplyDeleteLove to see when a smile reaches the eyes, so real.
ReplyDeleteShe’s quite beautiful…I don’t see a drop of Mary in her. She’s all Fred!
ReplyDeleteThank you I agree. The shape of her face since a baby is that of her fathers side of the family.
Delete... and her younger sister Josephine is all Mary!
DeleteWhat a lovely photo. What a beautiful girl. Natural and genuine.
ReplyDeleteStunning, what beautiful gown, for a beautiful young adult. Like the Tiara and earrings. Seen a picture of Q Margrethe wearing it. Maybe this was a gift to her.
