The Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Fra’ John Dunlap, is undertaking a two-day official visit to Monaco. On April 22, 2025, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène of Monaco welcomed Fra’ John T. Dunlap, Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta, at the Prince’s Palace in Monaco.
Following military honors rendered in the Cour d’Honneur, the Prince received the Grand Master in audience. Prince Albert conferred upon the Grand Master the dignity of Grand Cross in the Order of Saint-Charles. In return, Prince Albert II received the Cross of Knight of Justice of the Order of Malta, while Princess Charlène received the insignia of Dame of Honour and Devotion.
Fra’ John Timothy Dunlap is a Canadian attorney and has served as the 81st Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta since 2023. The Sovereign Order of Malta is one of the oldest institutions of Western and Christian civilization. It has been a United Nations General Assembly observer since 1994. The Order of Malta is active in 120 countries, caring for people in need through its medical, social, and humanitarian work.

Je n’ai pas une grande affection pour cet ensemble.

Mis à part cela, je trouve cet ensemble large et pas très seyant. Son design ne me séduit point.

I do like this suit, but as stated above am not a fan of the wide leg. The princess looks very regal.

ReplyDeleteI think the fashion industry is just saving money when they sell wide leg trousers, which involve less fiddle and tailoring. I am looking forward to them putting the effort and skill back into well fitted trousers in the near future. These ones don’t fit Charlene well but because she’s wearing the matching jacket, gets away with it and still looks elegant.

ReplyDeleteThe ensemble Princess Charlene is wearing is beautiful but too big for her. At least one size down would already made a better effect. The trousers are too wide too. Elie Saab is a rather expensive brand. If the large wide trousers are not fashion any more she can have them made smaller, as well as the jacket. But I thinik she won't. I wonder where the clothes that she wore only once are going. It goes also for other princesses and queens. Maybe they are wearing often something on loan from their go to designers.
