Prince Alexander turns 9 today. Prince Alexander of Sweden, Duke of Södermanland, is the first child of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. He was born on 19 April 2016 at Danderyd Hospital. Alexander is fifth in the line of succession to the Swedish throne, following Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Estelle, Prince Oscar, and Prince Carl Philip.
On the occasion of his birthday, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden shared a new photo of Prince Alexander on their social media accounts (@prinsparet), along with the message: 'Today we celebrate our wonderful bundle of joy, Alexander, who turns 9 years old. We also want to wish everyone a Happy Easter.'
