On April 17, 2025, Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima officially launched the nationwide opening of the 2025 King’s Games (Koningsspelen) in Roosendaal. As per tradition, the day began with a communal King’s Breakfast. Afterwards, the King and Queen officially opened the event and visited various sports activities.
During the 13th edition of the King’s Games, more than one million primary school students from the Netherlands, the Caribbean part of the Kingdom, and Dutch schools abroad participated in the activities. This year’s theme was “TWIST!” The 2025 King’s Games kicked off with the song “Baila bailalaa” by Kinderen voor Kinderen.
Participating schools are free to organize the day in their own way. To support them, each school receives a Sport and Celebration Package, which includes game ideas, an online activity and movement program, opportunities to connect with local sports providers, and a free breakfast. The King’s Games were first organized in 2013.
I have to say I do not like this top at all, other than the colour suits her. She is so engaging with the children.

ردحذفOh no Natan, you do produce the most outrageously hideous clothes sometimes. Sometimes you do superbly but this top, surely someone mentioned it looks like a garbage bag? Maxima always fabulous, but you Natan, are you kidding when you sell these garments?!

حذفEvery designer creates sometimes things nobody will wear just the models on the catwalk. I must laugh when I read (anonymous 21:00) she/he talks to Natan if he is a living person. Natan is the name of a company with more than one designer. They also make other things than this plastic top you know. Queen Maxima, I think is the first and only queen I know who dares to wear clothes which are made of unusual materials. In the meantime I see this spring tops, jackets, etc... in the street style collections of regular brands who make clothes for the big public in the same fabrics Natan used already 3 years ago. Do you know that Queen Maxima once bought (or received) at Natan's a dress that was made of a cheap technical fabric used by designers before they cut the real dress in the final fabric ?
حذفAnon 11:59 We can agree to disagree. I follow fashion closely, and have followed Maxima for many years. I have seen a vast array of clothing and fabrics from Natan. I would never classify Natan as a fashion forward brand. The clothes have a fairly distinct look and are uniquely Natan. I have never seen other companies imitating them. Also, I don't see that Anon 21:00 is speaking to Natan as a person. How else would Anon 21:00 address comments to a company? I know Coca-Cola (Coke) is not a person. I would still address the company as Coke or Coca-Cola, for example.

Maybe you are not living near big cities where you can find the collections of several designers from several countries, well they use this Spring "neopreen" a fabric Natan used 3 years ago when nobody did it. The "faux leather" fabrics which are used now in almost any collection have been used by this brand for the first time. The cape dresses Natan designed already several years ago have been copied by several other brands afterwards. I can give you many more examples of other styles designed at Natan's which have been copied by others several years after.
Queen Paola which always has been praised for her elegant style had made her clothes almost always at Natan's since she married King (then Prince) Albert II and during the period she became queen. When she needed a special gala dress she went to Giorgio Armani.
Natan designed also a lot of beautiful handbags which are still available, but I think this section slowed down a bit.
Queen Maxima is not the only Queen who is wearing clothes from Natan also Queen Mathilde is client there and many other aristocratic ladies. Approximately 3 years ago the company of Natan has also young designers who are working there. They have the haute couture departement and the ready to wear departement. They are still growing. One must have enough clients these days otherwise you cannot survive.

حذفThis was a brilliant visit. The King and Queen participating with the children, well done. The Queen is right in her element with them. Love her cape. The top is edgy, but I dislike this. Not elegant whatsoever. Her pants are okay.

These days nobody throws clothes in the garbage. Where I live we have recycling companies. Not very polite to call the king and queen of the Netherlands Max and Wax. Did you call Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Liz and Phil ? I don't think so.

I just love this top. So different. Natan is a brilliant designer. I guess Maxima gets tired of all the traditional styles, especially if you have to dress up all the time. She is such a fascinating person.
