On the second day of their visit to Vietnam, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited Hai Phong City in Vietnam. The King and Queen first attended the official inauguration of Deep C's new headquarters. Deep C is not only the largest Belgian investment in Vietnam but also one of the country's largest industrial zones. In addition to officially opening the new headquarters, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde took a cable car ride to view the panoramic scenery of the Deep C site.

This is a lovely dress for Mathilde. The proportions are perfect for her figure and height, and she looks wonderful in it. The colours are vibrant and tropical too. Only thing I don't like is the hat. A simpler head piece would have been better in my view, but otherwise a great outfit (including the snug sweater).

Agree with comments about fitting of the dress. I would have chosen a different hat - maybe a simple color coordinated headband would have been enough. And the sweater helps tone down the dress just enough.

  2. I like the color of this outfit on Mathilde. I like the way it coordinates with the hat and shoes. The fabric could have been cut so that the front seam kept the pattern intact. That would have made the dress prettier. But overall, I like this outfit.

The pattern in Mathilde's flamboyant ensemble is way too busy & it's obvious that the top is too tight - it must be uncomfortable. A smaller hat/band would be better. She is really overpowering Philippe. ~~Ruthie

Sorry, I am not a big fan of this dress, and not to speak about the headpiece. It is a pity that no effort has gone into fitting the pattern of the tissue a little bit better, as it is now it gives an overly busy impression. And that...hat...? No.

I think she probably had the jacket to put on and off when in very cold aircon. Looks great with and without. I’m unsure re the dress panels not lining up the pattern at this price point … but maybe it helps the large prints not be too large by having them chopped up?

I like this outfit very much, the magenta colour is so pretty, and I like the sweater instead of a coat. She can wear a sleeveless garment since her arms are naturally slim. Great look for this classy lady.

  7. What a lovely outfit. The colour is beautiful and the dress is a perfect fit for the Queen. I like the shrug but worn not draped. Hat and shoes are fabulous. A real winner of an outfit.

Queen Mathilde wore this dress for the first time in September 2024 during the gathering of the German speaking countries in the GD of Luxembourg. When I compare the pictures of the two events, I must say it suited her better the first time. The skirt of the dress was falling better. I hate to say it, but it looks like she was slimmer last September. To me it is a dress that is made for someone who is thinner than Queen Mathilde. The magenta color suits her very well.

There are a lot of hat haters here. When she is wearing a big hat like queen Maxima they hate it, when she is wearing a hat (a hat that is open in the back part) it is not good either. Her bolero is bought at Natan's.

Maybe the hat haters live next door to the stilettos haters! 😂

    I like this dress.

Simple et efficace, comme on dirait. Elle lui sied. Surtout qu’elle est portée avec des escarpins, ce qui lui confère plus de charme.

Cette couleur est gourmande. J’aime !

A hat - or is it a headband? - ruins an outfit.

I think QM looks stunning in these photos. The style and color as well as her matching accessories make it a chefs kiss look.

Love, love, love this dress and its sweater! The bright color and fit are perfect and Queen Mathilde looks beautiful. I'm with other posters--this is not the right hat or head ornament for this look. In fact, it looks like a headband with some kind of frou-frou stuff tacked onto one side. I think she could have left it off and her outfit would have been smashing.

  17. Très bel imprimé très vif mais je ne suis pas fan de ce genre de coiffe qui contraste trop avec la tenue !
