  2. The traditional outfits are simply stunning, so beautiful. I do love the pale blue ensemble. Her brooch and diamond earrings seal the look, divine.

Two beautiful and very well dressed queens, and then a bevy of beautiful and well dressed Bhutanese royal ladies. And finally, a young and handsome crown prince. Wonderful.

All of the ladies are wearing stunning silk outfits in the most beautiful colors! The style of Queen Suthida's outfit is fitted so perfectly. I don't know if there is any meaning or not but the King and Queen of Bhutan are wearing the same colors--King Jigme Khesar has on a red tunic with a yellow sash while Queen Jetsun Pema is wearing a yellow top with a red sash or shawl. I love Queen Jetsun Pema's necklace and Queen Suthida's brooch--hope to learn more about both! The Crown Prince (I think that is the correct title) looks more and more like his father every time I see him.

These royal ladies are absolutely beautiful with gorgeous skin. They are perfectly poised. Queen Suthida's two piece outfit is stunning especially with the heels. They obviously know the importance of dressing appropriately for this ceremonial state visit.

Does anyone know who the ladies are in 3rd last pic? I have a suspicion at least a few are wives of the last king, who resigned his position quite young (age 50ish) to spend time mountain biking etc, which I was told when visiting is just one way to get between the different houses of the queens, who live quite separately. The Thai queen pictured here is beautiful - the family she has married into is much more complex still, living for the most part in Germany, not Thailand (a very unusual position for a ruling monarch). So yes the costumes here are divinely beautiful, but the stories behind the faces are much more complex than the peaceful smiles portray.

  9. Quand je fais défiler ces photos, je ne peux qu’admirer de magnifiques tenues très colorées ; la reine du Bhoutan est vraiment très belle - Le jeune princier héritier ressemble de plus en plus à son père !
