At the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark are paying a state visit to France from March 31 to April 2, 2025. On the second day of their visit, the King and Queen, accompanied by First Lady Brigitte Macron, visited the historic tapestry weaving factory, Manufacture des Gobelins. Founded in 1601, the workshop is renowned for producing some of the world’s most famous Gobelins tapestries and textiles.
Afterwards, the King and Queen, along with President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron, attended the official opening of the French-Danish Economic Forum at the Palais Brongniart in Paris. The conference aims to provide an optimal networking platform for members of the Danish business delegation and their commercial and political partners in France, under the common theme of economic resilience.
Later, Queen Mary and First Lady Brigitte Macron, in collaboration with The Mary Foundation, visited École Maternelle Dussoubs. Students and teachers at the school have recently joined The Mary Foundation’s Free of Bullying program. École Maternelle Dussoubs is a public school for children aged three to six.
Je préfère vraiment Madame Macron quand elle sait associer ce haut avec le pantalon !
ReplyDeleteMrs Macron has too much hair extensions and her clothing always gives me 80’s vibes.
ReplyDeleteMary’s suit fit’s her very well.
Have you ever seen photos of her from bsck in the days you would stop with these hair comments.
DeleteQ. M. looks very pretty in her gray suit and that pink blouse is so pretty against her face.
ReplyDeleteHm, I don't like Mary`s blouse today or the one last night, the collar is too high for me, it all looks so cut off.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the first thing I noticed was that strange high collar and colour of the blouse. I does not even go with the colour of the otherwise nice suit.
DeleteI agree! The blouse collar looks like the ones of the Danish priests! But the suit and colours are nice.
DeleteBof, un peu stricts, tristes et austères ces deux costumes.
ReplyDeleteL'encolure du chemisier de Mary n'est pas élégant.
C'était le bon jour pour choisir une broche poisson à la place du papillon ;-) Paloma.
Yes to the queens suit, love the colour. No to the blouse , dusty rose is just to muted. She seems to be wearing alot of high necklines, perhaps it is the fashion. Mdm Macron so tiny, but gee even she gets panty lines. The jacket of her suit is to wide at the shoulders and the high neckline gives her a bobblehead look. Both look appropriately dressed. Great to see these ladies
ReplyDeleteAgree, the jacket is too wide and monochrom, the pants too tightly styled and it looks unbalanced, especially with the big hair! Mrs. M. is trying too hard to look young.
DeleteBack to work in a pantsuit! Both of them (all 4 of them!) look lovely. The pantsuit Mme Macron is wearing is really beautiful: sharp and very flattering.

The suit is very interesting with its oversized lapels and sharply tailored waistline however once again I do not think that the blouse compliments it at all. A high, fussy neckline combined with her long wavy hair makes the outfit cluttered. A simple pony tail would have improved the look, as would a tonal silk shirt or collarless blouse. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of both outfits. Love the pants of Mme Macron. They suit her very Well, but I don’t like the neckline and boxy cut of the jacket. It makes her look ‘square’ and lacking a neck
ReplyDeleteOh my, Mary is dressed for a working visit, this outfit is not fit for a state visit. And what is that thing in front of her throat? Awfull, just awfull. Mrs Macron is looking absolutely faboulous, as always. She has a unique style and it really makes her stand out.
ReplyDeleteLisa
Not sure Lisa that we can determine “not fit” for a state visit because 100% guaranteed everything has been planned and double checked. Both ladies are wearing very neat trouser suits and that may well have been the brief for the day. I like Mary’s suit very much and think the blouse would probably work very well without the jacket (we only see a few seconds of their day, normally outside, so quite likely she removed the jacket shortly after?) but I don't think this blouse sits well with the jacket on. I also think it may have worked as is if she’d pulled her hair back eg to a pony tail.
DeleteLove the pink blouse and gray pant suit on Queen Mary so flattering. Mrs. Macron's pant suit is very stylish and fits her very well.

Mary's costume is very good, but I don't like her blouse. The blouse the model is wearing is much better.
ReplyDeleteMadame Macron's costume is nice. but it needs something to liven it up - some expressive detail - maybe a piece of jewelry, a brooch?
Stephanie
I must admit that I don't like the collar of Mary's blouse.
ReplyDeleteAn absolutely " no" for Mary's pant suit. It's not because of the model but this awful non discript colour. Madame Macron wins it this time imv.
ReplyDeleteNot a very elaborated suit of Mary, a bit on the “ too ordinary” side.
ReplyDeleteMad.me Macron should wear the kind of trousers that are in fashion today with the wide legs: I know it is body shaming but I think her legs are far too thin to wear these trousers she is wearing, not elegant at all.
Maybe I was wrong to expect Haute Couture, but Mary wears a boring business suit to State visit. The cut of this suit is very nice, but the color is dull and definitely not springy. The roll collar of her blouse is just wrong with this jacket, looks uncomfortable and maybe just wrong, for her face and her hair, too.
ReplyDeleteBrigitte’s proportions are off. Too much on top and super thin bottom half. Do you think a pixie hair cut would improve the silhouette?
I would love to see Mme Macron with a pixie cut. She has a very pretty face and and I think that type of haircut would look great on her.
DeleteI really like this suit and am glad to Queen Mary giving it a re-wear. But I also think the color--a sort of gray green shade--is hard to match with anything other than white, black, or maybe a creamy white or dark navy. I like the blouse but not the color--the dusty rose or pink is not working with the color of the suit and I'm not too sure it's the best color on Mary. Mme Macron looks great--although she is so thin that the narrow trousers emphasize the thinness a bit too much in one photo. Both ladies look wonderful and their choice of suits is perfectly in keeping with the fact they are having a business sort of day.
ReplyDeleteJanet
Lovely blouse and suit combination which look so good on Mary. The fit of the jacket and pants are spot on. Pink and gray are beautiful together. Madame Macron looks sensational in her slim fitting suit but her hair looks strange.
ReplyDeleteI'd have preferred her to opt for a low-cut blouse. And not one with such a high collar.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't really enhance her suit, in my opinion.
Nevertheless, the queen is beautiful.
And the colour of the trouser suit doesn't suit her.
I'd have preferred her to opt for a brighter colour, or white, why not? That would have set off the colour of her blouse better.
