King Charles III and Queen Camilla are undertaking a four-day state visit to the Republic of Italy. On April 8, 2025, Italy's President Sergio Mattarella and his daughter, Laura Mattarella, welcomed King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the Quirinale Presidential Palace in Rome. Later, the King and Queen visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where they paid their respects to fallen soldiers.
Next, King Charles III and Queen Camilla visited Italy’s iconic Colosseum, where they learned about the country’s cultural heritage and the ongoing restoration work at the monument. King Charles and Queen Camilla also posed for photos outside the imposing structure.
Dear fellow bloggers,
ReplyDeleteit is my pleasure to share with you all some of the most significant events marking the British Royal Couple's official visit to Italy (day 2)
This footage (there are also other videos included in this link) was televised in Italian, so you can appreciate the genuine Italian sound and atmosphere of this very special morning.
The King and the Queen look to be enjoying their stay in Rome.
I was born in Italy but life has taken me so far away though I come back to my homeland as often as I can.
Auguro a tutti Voi una buona visione e godiamoci queste" Vacanze Romane"!
Buona serata!
Best regards.
Thank you, Helen.

P.the original, thank you for sharing this. I love how we, bloggers, are from all countries, with rich and diverse backgrounds join by our love for the royals.
DeleteNo wonder we get different opinions, points of view, remarks etc.
Let's do our best for always being respectful and courteous to one another even if we differ in likes and dislikes.

En regardant mieux l'avant dernière photo, je crois voir une robe-manteau dont la couleur se retrouve dans les chaussures ; la fille du Président Mattarella est toujours aussi chic !
ReplyDeleteDoesn’t she look beautiful in that blue?! Charles looks tired, but of course these are only a snapshot of a couple of seconds so never the whole story. Happy travels and good pasta to them.
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense that the king looks tired considering that prior to leaving for Italy he had been hospitalised due to side-effects he had from his cancer treatments.

Both the King and Queen look wonderful here! Love that they seem to have selected some coordinating shades of blue--Charles often seems to choose a tie that coordinates with Camilla's dress. Queen Camilla looks lovely--the fullness of the skirt shown as she is walking up the steps is beautiful. But she has made me so happy that she's wearing my absolute favorite brooch in the BRF collection--the Albert Sapphire!!! I am so delighted that Camilla likes to wear brooches--I would miss seeing these gorgeous jewels. Hope to see some more dazzling treats out of the vault as the visit continues.

I love the colour of the outfit and the smart matching shoes. I don’t think Queen Camilla ever favoured really high heels so I guess she’ll not start to do so now. These are a huge improvement on the black boots!
ReplyDeleteThe blue dress ( coat with dress?) is just beautifull! Look at it when she walks the staircase!
ReplyDeleteIn photo 7, QC looks like she is holding the hand of the gentleman beside her. :)
ReplyDeletethat;s exactly what I thought too... :-)
DeleteThe president's daughter Lauren looks marvelous. Love the black and white combination. Well fitted dress and perfect hairstyle.
ReplyDeleteLovely colour blue and that brooch is my favourite.
