Swedish King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia have once again traveled to Jämtland for the Easter holidays. King Carl Gustaf, who also holds the title “Duke of Jämtland,” was seen skiing in photos shared on the Royal Court’s official Instagram account.
From the snowy region of Storlien in Jämtland — a municipality located just a few kilometers from Norway and known for its rich outdoor lifestyle — the King and Queen sent their wishes for a “Happy Easter.” In the photos, they are accompanied by their beloved dog, Brandie.
Lovely couple warmly dressed. The king needs to get his boot mended the thread is coming out
ReplyDeleteWow if you met him out on the trail you’d never know you’d just passed the King. Old jacket, cross country skis, 78 years old. Fabulous.
ReplyDeletePeople who live in countries with much snow are used to put their langlauf ski's on to go from one place to another. In Austria you see older people who are doing their shopping on langlauf ski's with a backpack in which they put their grocery and bread. These days If your health is still good, 78 years is not that old. Where I live there are people of that age who are using their bike to do their shopping. All the medical doctors are saying the same one must keep moving even when we are old. You must of course not running a marathon but do your daily walk to the shop, to a parc not to far away, to let the dog out, to get a good book at the library of your village or town, etc...
DeleteEnjoying time together. Q Silvias foot must be OK again. Still, lots of snow to have fun skying. Nicely warm dressed.
