Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is making a three-day official visit to Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, as part of efforts to enhance diplomatic and economic relations between Sweden and Nigeria. On the first day of her visit, the Crown Princess met with Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar. She also visited an art exhibition at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.
Afterwards, Crown Princess Victoria, along with Sweden's Minister for Infrastructure and Housing, Andreas Carlson, visited the Swedish Embassy in Abuja. The Crown Princess’s itinerary also includes meetings with Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, and the Governor of Lagos State. On the first day of her visit to Abuja, Crown Princess Victoria wore a floral dress by Camilla Thulin.
She looks great here. Very elegant and fresh. The dress has a beautiful cut and it drapes Victoria perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI fully agree.
Delete“Elegant and fresh” are perfect to describe her appearance today. (V.M.)
DeleteFurther agreement here. Feel that there’s a touch of the super elegant ‘new look’ of the 1940s and 1950s about it. Lovely
DeleteI love this dress on Victoria. I love the neckline, and how the bodice has a soft 'wrap' effect, and especially the flare of the skirt. The dress has a nice flow to it. Bonus points for how all three in photo #4 are coordinated in green, assuming that it wasn't planned.

I agree. I noticed that the length of the sleeve ends where the bodice fold line is, whether by design or coincidence, so it looks like a continuous line.
DeleteCamilla Thulin´s dresses are perfect for a women over 50 like Crown Princess Victoria!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this designer's dresses will continue to be perfect for CP Victoria when she's actually in her 50s :)
DeleteCrown Princess Victoria is 47 years old.
DeleteNice, tidy and flattering look, although it has slight 50s housewife vibes.
ReplyDeleteVanessa , you called it right. I think there is too much material in the skirt -- that gives off vibes of the "50's. Victoria has a great figure, but somehow this dress does not show off her best features. I like florals confined to blouses with solid colored. This seems too much.
- Dorothe -
ReplyDeleteA well chosen ensemble from CP Victoria.
ReplyDeleteHalfway between formality and practicality.
A reasonably fresh and vivid pattern for her midi dress, not garish and not overdone.
Beautiful pumps too.
A great trip on both diplomatic and economic fronts.
Well done, Princess Victoria!

DeleteUn modèle de robe très rafraîchissant peut-être légèrement trop long ; heureusement qu'elle a su choisir des escarpins de la même couleur de fond - Ravie qu'elle n'ait pas opté pour une pince à cheveux !
ReplyDeleteVery pretty dress on Victoria - I like the lines and colors of it on her.

Absolutely lovely dress on Victoria in every way! She looks beautiful here.

Perfectly lovely dress on Victoria. I am curious if there were diplomatic efforts to harmonize the colours? The Nigerian minister wears green socks, if my eyes don't deceive me.
ReplyDeleteVictoria looks stunning. Super dress.

What a good find for Victoria. Love this dress on her.
ReplyDeleteI read from somewhere that the inspiration for this design came from a Dior dress from the early 1950s. This is very flattering and feminine design, yet, it also looks formal and professional for the visit.
I loved how the color of Victoria's dress worked so nicely together with Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs green outfit.
