No to the sleeves, maybe because they are so snug. I would prefer them a bit long. A big no to the shoes, it does nothing for the overall look.

Funny, I really like the sleeves and sandals, Victoria probably has the most well trained arms in the Royal world so she can show them. The sandals are summery and nice, I do not care so much for the pattern of the dress, but overall look is suitable for the event.

So critique the outfit not the comment

    3. I see nothing wrong with the sleeves, the sandals could be better, but I would not comment on it.
Each time I read such a tough comment, the same question comes to my mind : how does the author look ? You might think "she/he surely looks perfect", but reality may be different ... easier to be tough for others.

Insults hit harder when they’re not dressed in lazy wording and jealousy.

    4. I like this dress, the sandals not so much but "ugly" is a big word.
The dress suits her so good and it has lovely colours. Well done!
Andreas Carlson is looking good too. He seems to be a playful man.

There is nothing wrong with Victorias Dress or shoes imo! It fits snugly, has a nice neckline and nothing wrong with the shoes either.

Another good and practical working day dress that fits in perfectly with the environment where Victoria is and the events associated with it. She has selected a very good wardrobe for this trip!

I wonder how the security planning was done, as Lagos (and Nigeria in general) is not a safe city, particularly for a rich white woman. I also wonder then what the sellers in the textile market thought when no doubt their normal customer flow was stopped so a queen they’d probably never heard of from a country they might hardly ever have thought about could walk through their aisles for a photo op. It’s one thing to go meet the government to court business deals, or to visit projects Sweden may be part of, but perhaps another to walk through such a market. That said (well, that speculated), perhaps she was buying textiles and they appreciated her kind manner and smile. I really like the simplicity of her dress and it fits in very well to the African textiles scene. I like the sleeves very much and they show off her lovely arms. Having a personal trainer for a husband has definite advantages!

I would suggest that before her visit the embassy’s ask the locals if they would allow the royal to visit their market, shop. I don’t believe they are forced to accept. It would only be in the event that the motorcade makes an unscheduled stop at the request of the VIP that they would be caught off guard. And I image these are not hours long so the disruption would be minimal, and it could be before opening hours, who knows

The dress isn't terrible, but it looks too long. It looks cool and comfortable. don't car for the shoes at all. If the dress had been shorter, she could have worn cute flats with it.

In most parts of Africa it’s normal for women to cover/ mostly cover their legs, so the longer skirt was a good choice.

Also with the longer length she would not have to wear stockings.

Why everybody is imposing flats on princesses and queens when they have to walk a bit ? Do you think flats are so good for the feet ? Besides the sandals she is wearing do not have thin heels. She has them since ages. About the security. She is not alone there. I bet the white men walking behind her are body guards (pict 3 & 4) the man with the blue shirt, sun glasses and a microphone in his left ear (pict 3) is definitely one. To finish fashionwise : if the color of the dress was lighter and brighter and if the dress was not so long it could have been a beautiful one, but maybe for Africa the dress is better like it is.

Anonymous 17:20, no one’s “imposing” anything. That commenter was just making a suggestion based on what she sees and likes. You can also do the same.

I was not referring only to this commenter but to all the commenters who have always the same suggestions : wear ballerina's, wear flats, wear this, wear that.... I suppose the lady herself knows the best what sort of shoes she has to wear when being on a reception, during a little walk on a local market or walking on an uneven road to visit a place or local people.

  10. Ce modèle de robe imprimée semble bien convenir à Victoria ; au niveau des chaussures, un autre style de sandales à lanières aurait été plus flatteur !

CP Victoria looks lovely as ever. The dress, clutch, shoes, all compliment each other, without over-powering.

I love this dress! Victoria loves her florals and this one is great and it looks perfect on her. I like the accessories, especially the sandals. Victoria looks beautiful, relaxed, and happy here.

  14. This dress is quite pretty, though I would like longer sleeves, personal preference though! This dress fits really well. Not a fan of her sandals. Regardless she looks beautiful.
