The Norwegian Government established the 'Fosse Lecture' and the 'Fosse Translator Prize' as a tribute to Jon Fosse, Nobel Prize laureate in Literature and one of Norway’s most important authors. Jon Olav Fosse is a Norwegian author, translator, and playwright. In 2023, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. Both the prize and the lecture aim to highlight literature and the thinking within and around it – in the spirit of Jon Fosse. Crown Prince Haakon also attended the prize ceremony. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess later attended an official dinner at the National Library.

MM looks lovely. I love the blazer and that she chose a thin belt to provide some focus to the shape. I'd have preferred a cream coloured skirt, but the white one looks fine and even provides some textural contrast with the fact that it is pleated.

In the photos of the model above, it has been styled with a white shirt. I know it can look off when we are accustomed to the old thinking that white and creams should not be worn together, but rather stay with matching colors. Now colors in the same tones are combined. It does catch my eye as well.

  5. C’est un réel plaisir que de voir Mette-Marit dans cet élégant blazer fleuri blanc cassé ; choix judicieux que la jupe plissée blanche !

The jacket would be marvellous for her if she did not opt for that belt which ruins the cut of the jacket and adds nothing good to it.

    1. I agree with you. I think the jacket would would look better without the belt though the overall outfit is very nice anyway. Isn't it interesting that comments are split between those who think the belt improves the jacket and those who think it does not. That's what makes the comments here enjoyable.

Beautiful outfit. The thin belt is not necessary.
