On April 29, 2025, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde welcomed Belgian and international journalists to the Winter Garden of the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken. In his speech, the King referred to the role of journalists in a democratic society. The Palace of Laeken, also known as the Castle of Laeken, is the official residence of the King of the Belgians and royal family.

Cette robe déjà portée convient bien à la reine en donnant une impression de fraîcheur !

ReplyDeleteSmashing. Mathilde is my favourate fashion queen. Always the right clothes at the right time. Elegant, royal, never boring and never exaggerating, often with an element of swing and so very stylish. You can see she is authentic nobility.
ReplyDeleteSono d'accordo con te.
DeleteAgree !!
DeleteShe’s not my favourite - but I think it’s so cool she’s you’re favourite as I love to learn from the others here what they enjoy (as long as they’re not in the “so and so needs a new stylist” or “so and so needs 2 inches off her hair” commenters because they are the inverse of what you’re writing … all the reasons you love someone rather than how they have to change for you!).
Delete@Anon 13:02, that is a very nice comment. Thank you for saying it.

I think we have seen this lovely dress on Mathilde on
ReplyDeleteat least one other occasion. My only quibble is that the belt
is way too big .Her hair is styled nicely. Cate.
Yes a rewear, but I like better this time without a hat. Nice dress.
DeleteToujours un plaisir de voir la reine Mathilde.
ReplyDeleteElle m’inspire simplicité, authenticité, tendresse et humilité.

Queen Mathilde wore this dress for the first time in 2021. Since then she wears it at least once during Spring or Summer each year.It looks excellent inside the Winter Garden near the (tropical) trees and flowers. On state visits King Philippe and Queen Mathilde can welcome their guests again at the Royal Palace in Brussels.
ReplyDeleteSince 2 years the Royal Palace in Brussels could not be used due to the renovation works which took place. The most important renovations are finished now but since the beginning of the works many receptions, diners, banquets, etc... took place in Laeken.
On state visits King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are welcoming their guests at the Royal Palace in Brussels, but I have noticed that they just have a reception and the signing of the Golden Book there. After that they are leaving to drive to the Castle of Laeken where in the evening the state banquet takes place.
