The Duchess of Edinburgh is on a two-day visit to Brussels, Belgium, to attend a series of events focused on addressing child sexual abuse and exploitation. She is undertaking the visit in her capacity as Patron of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) and Plan International UK. The Duchess is accompanied by the UK Minister for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls, Jess Phillips.
On March 26, 2025, the Duchess of Edinburgh attended an event hosted by the European Parliament Intergroup on Children's Rights at the European Parliament in Brussels. Later, she attended a reception with panelists, including survivors and representatives from EU institutions, the UN, and NGOs advocating for change.

Very nice, love the suit and the blouse very feminine. Great look.

I was ready to say, finally a nice suit and fit, but when I saw the width of the pants. I just feel the cut does not the suit her height and build, which is too bad because it would of been perfect.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. Finally a modern and 'un-English' dress. Irene
ReplyDeleteNaff discriminatory comment
DeleteI don't think the comment is discriminatory. Sophie wears the same type of dress most of the time. I consider it an "English" look. It is nice when she wears something else.
Deletedoes not make sense, an English woman VB designed this outfit
DeleteThe trousers don't shape her like Victoria Beckham, tight thighs and flare legs.
ReplyDeleteShe looks great !!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, the very picture of Spring. Love the color of the suit and the blouse is so delicate and feminine.
ReplyDeleteThe colour is nice and fresh for the spring, but the suits style is all wrong. The trousers is to wide for her, and the blazer to long. She probably could get away with it had the trousers been slimmer in the legs. Wouldn't buy the old lady patterned blouse either.
Paloma.
To make these trousers look good, they need to be longer and the heels higher. At Pic.3 your can see that.
ReplyDeleteI think they need to be longer as well.
DeleteI agree, though the colour is lovely on her.
Deleteor tighter around the thighs
DeleteDear Marina: On pic 3, I see that she is moving and I think that has to be considered when judging the length. If she stood still, the trousers would be longer. (How Victoria B. manages to move in trousers that fully hide her shoes when moving is incomprehensible for me - but I know one thing: that that looks ridiculous in them.)
DeleteI couldn't work out what the problem was, you solved it, thank you. Agree with you, the length.
DeleteThe fit is not perfect but the colour is great on Sophie, she looks lovely. I really have a soft spot for this lady - she just gets on with it. An asset to the British Royal family. JJ
ReplyDeleteOh I Love this beautiful outfit!! The blouse is so light and airy and looks great on D. Sophie and I love the color of the pantsuit and it fits her so well.
ReplyDeleteShe looks great - minus, again, that untidy neckline part because of the heavily creased blouse under the jacket. Same applies to the woman who walks beside her - and to thousands of women who do not seem to notice how unbecoming this looks. Or am I the only one who finds this disturbing? By the way, I don't mind this "untidy" look at all, if it is the natural fall of the fabric, i.e. if there is no jacket worn over the blouse.

DeleteThis is your perception.
I saw some more pics of the Duchess from different angles and she looks beautiful and tidy.
How could you speak for/ on behalf of the
" thousands of women.(who are they, by the way?)........etc...", as you wrote in your statement?
You don't know what other women think/ notice re: Sophie's outfit.
Your comment is rather obscure.
Not clear who you are referring to at all and what you think you see on these pics.
I wish you could pay the same attention to Duchess Sophie's passionate speech, much more important than a neckline or a blouse.
Of course, this is a fashion blog , but you can only speak for yourself.

DeleteAn addition
The lady portrayed in Pics 2-3-4-5 together with the Duchess of Edinburgh is Roberta Metsola.
Maybe are you criticizing her , too?
@17:46
DeleteAgreed.
MESH
La couleur parme de ce tailleur va bien à Sophie ; le chemisier fleuri en soie est superbe pour lui être associé !
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit Sophie is wearing, very soft, spring-like, and yet fits the occasion perfectly.
