On March 7, 2025, Queen Mary attended the first day of the Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing event in Herning, where Princess Benedikte was also present. Queen Mary arrived in Herning accompanied by her friends Helle Trolle and Malou Skeel. Together with Princess Benedikte and Princess Nathalie, she watched the licensing event at Jyske Bank Boxen. The event includes the licensing of 3- and 4-year-old stallions.
The Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing event, taking place in Herning until March 9, features stallion licensing, international dressage and jumping competitions, as well as a large fair and two Gala Shows. This year marks the 45th edition of the Danish Warmblood Stallion Show in Herning.
I guess Mary also needs eye glasses for general sight now - or they're bifocals(?). Assuming she probably alternates between glasses and contacts. Anyway, she looks nice for a semi-casual event. The boots look warm.
ReplyDeleteJ’aurais bien voulu voir entièrement l'allure de la princesse Benedikte ; j'adore sa coiffure sur cheveux courts !
ReplyDeleteI agree on the general elegance of Prq Benedikte, however I find her hair styling just ordinary.
DeleteYikes, the colours are all drap.
ReplyDeleteEurope. Winter. Normal.
DeleteOh no not everyone in Europe is wearing these colors, not to speak of the brown of her skirt and the brown of her bag which doesn't match. She'd better took a black bag or looked for exact the same brown as her skirt. The colors are indeed a bit sad.
DeleteIn Europe women are wearing all kind of bright colors during winter : red, wine red, bottle green, teal, light blue, navy, cobalt blue (royal blue), fuchsia, pink, lila, mauve, etc.... the boots are usually black, grey, off white, cognac, wine red, etc.... as well as the handbags. It is just a question of styling. Here Queen Mary is not styled well, she can do better. She did it better before.
What does drap mean? Not trying to be snarky - I genuinely don’t know what it is. Thanks to anyone who can tell me!
DeleteAnon 20:36. Typo, it happens. Try drab and you'll know. And yes, you're snarky.
DeleteI love seeing Mary off duty - and often prefer her clothes, when she’s not dressed and groomed to perfection. She looks lovely in glasses and these boots are gorgeous … I wonder why she always wears extremely high heels when “on duty” for these lower boots are delicious and arguably more attractive and yet just as elegant as eg the boots she wore in Finland the other day.
ReplyDeleteI agree. She wears casual clothing so well. (V.M.)
DeleteI think Mary simply always looks gorgeous.
DeleteMary's outfit looks appropriate and I like the combination. Pss Bene as usual looks great. She is always so well groomed and elegant.
ReplyDeleteOh Mary.....you looked so beautiful with less makeup!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree....in fact, she looks younger!
DeleteNice makeup except the heavy eyebrows. Very in fashion but not necessarily nice, otherwise lovely natural look
DeleteBoth ladies are wearing boots, skirts and scarfes, looking good 🥰
ReplyDeleteThe skirts are not attractive
ReplyDeleteNothing special fashion wise. Hope they all had a good time. Also wonderful to see Pss Benedikte there as well.

Seriously? All you people can find to comment on about these ladies is hair and make-up on the day? How little imagination you have. I wonder why they are there: is it just for the spectacle of looking at these gorgeous horses, or are they considering buying? How nice they are taking an interest in the Equine industry. Are they looking to breed horses, compete, or is their interest in equine welfare?
ReplyDeleteI also wondered what “drap” meant, being an American I thought it was a European word! There are a lot of phrases and words that I don’t know the meaning of so I’m glad that was cleared up! I absolutely LOVE Queen Mary and everything she wears. She’s just so beautiful!!
