Love this Queen - she took off all her jewellery (perhaps she has earrings - can’t see clearly in pics), all reference to royal riches, put on her walking shoes and arrives ready to work. Oh now I look again, ok, she did arrive by private jet, so not entirely low key… !

Not a private jet, all the Spanish cooperation team have travelled with her, the prime minister travels by a private helicopter.

Anon 14.24, You are mistaken. She traveled aboard an aircraft that is at the disposal of the government.

    3. ¿Un jet privado? Creo que necesitas una visita urgente al oftalmólogo. ¿Acaso no ves la bandera de España y la R de Reino? Es uno de los aviones del Estado, como siempre que viaja en misión oficial.

    4. Also, the Islands of Cabo Verde do not allow landings of huge commercial passenger aircrafts. The airport there is not designed to accommodate them. You'll have to arrive in smaller planes anyway.

DSC I’ve landed into Cabo Verde in a regular A330 jet so not sure where you got that info re only small planes. Very nice airport there with a good runway. Small islands but some good infrastructure as European tourism is very important and the islands are off the coast of Africa so it’s a fair journey over.

She never wears a lot of jewelry, so she didn't had to take much off.

      Hello, @ DSC.
Basically , there are four International airports.
      I read that Q.Letizia landed at N.Mandela I.Airport.
Although that's no part of my scheduled routes, I know that departures and landings may be a bit hard and no huge commercial passenger aircrafts are allowed to operate there , just as you said.
What really matters, in my view, is the harsh reality the Queen was confronted with throughout this working visit.
Kudos to her and to all the people involved in efforts to cooperate with locals for a better future.

  2. Ces trois parties judicieusement associées lui conviennent très bien pour cette visite de travail ; j'ai plaisir à la voir porter la bague que ses filles lui ont offerte !

  4. Letizia looks much younger with her hair pulled back, she also looks less severe.

  5. Queen Letizia has been in Cape Verde for three days, with a multitude of activities, but she holds no interest for Mrs Helen.
