Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter, Princess Eugenie, celebrates her 35th birthday.
Princess Eugenie turns 35 today. To mark her milestone 35th birthday, Princess Eugenie shared a photo featuring her with her two children, August Philip Hawke and Ernest George Ronnie. The snap captured Eugenie posing while her sons sat in front of her with their backs turned to the camera. Princess Eugenie is a member of the British royal family.
A very happy 35th birthday to Pss Eugenie of York, Mrs Brooksbank. Nice pic of her, would be nice to see both boys from the front.

Nice photos. Happy birthday to the lovely Princess Eugenie
ReplyDeleteI don't think that the presentation of the backside of her children is an appropriate gesture towards those people who are interested in her or think kindly of her on her birthday. This ridiculous offering leaves me with a shrug and a somewhat unpleasant aftertaste.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but I really don't understand what is wrong with posting photos that are now on the internet forever that do not show children's faces. If Princess Eugenie had posted only a photo of herself I guess that meets the interests of those interested in her. However, it should be noted that the Princess herself chose to post the picture as opposed to another sort of picture. I think it's lovely of her to share a photo that makes her happy on her birthday. Janet
Deletedear Anon 21:37: Sorry if I was not clear enough. I would never wish for anybody's childrens' faces shown if somebody does not want to publish one, I respect it without discussing if it is necessary or not, it is none of my business. But I wish respect for me (and all) as viewer, meaning: A nice picture of Eugenie alone. It is her birthday. No backsides please.
DeleteHappy Birthday to Princess Eugenie! Love that she has posted a photo with her adorable little ones to celebrate her own special day.

She is exercising her right to limit or even prevent access to pictures of her children. She is a public figure; her children are not. We absolutely do NOT have a right see her kids. If she chooses to let us see them, well and good. If not, also well and good.
ReplyDeleteI understand not wanting to posted photos of her children, so leave them out. It is bordering on rude imo to tease. Post a photo of yourself
ReplyDeleteI agree. How rude.
DeleteAnonymous at 21:33, I agree completely. Well said! — Jane
DeleteAbsolutely agree: a picture of the backs is an offense to the fans, please choose for no pictures at all!
DeleteWhat an attitude! And you call yourself fans ?!
DeleteIt's possible that Princess Eugenie wants to share a moment of her life as a mother without compromising her children's privacy. Many parents, including public figures, like to show aspects of their family life, but it's understandable that she would want to protect her children’s identities. Sharing a picture of herself with them while being mindful of their privacy could be her way of expressing that joy without crossing any boundaries.
DeleteI agree with the initial poster. We know she's a wife and mother. There's no need to post "partial" photos of the kids (could have just as easily cropped them out). If you want to protect their privacy (which I'm all for) then go all the way with it and don't show them at all. It's your birthday, just post a photo of yourself if you must post something at all. If not an official working royal you really don't need to post anything. If it's worthy of posting images let it come from the King's court.
DeleteFrom Joann - Princess Eugenie really is a lovely young woman. I love this picture. As for the lack of a good photo of the children, at first I was somewhat critical of those who live a great deal of their lives in the spotlight and yet do not acknowledge that there is legitimate interest in their children. However, after thinking it over, I think we have to remember that Eugenie's children do not have 24-hour protection. I could be wrong here, but it seems to me that the baby pictures we do get to see are those of royals who have round-the-clock protection or those classified as celebrities, but do not generate much interest from the public. Therefore, showing their faces does not seem to present that much of a security risk.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice photo from her backyard, is it taken by her partner or husband?
ReplyDeleteA cute little picture, a little view into a normal mummy moment while the kids eat, not posed. The profile of the son’s face is beautiful. It’s her birthday and we see her face clearly, and have a tiny insight into her normal life. I don’t see anything to be upset by here!
ReplyDeleteThe second photo is just a photo of PE in her role as a mother. She was just sitting at a picnic table with her sons when (probably) her husband called out "Eugenie" and she looked up. The result: a nice photo of a happy PE; a photo she enjoyed sharing and nothing offensive about it because her sons are visible from the back.
ReplyDeleteWe need to stop trying to find a reason behind everything.
Eugenie is married to a man from the working class!
ReplyDeleteJack's family is generally not involved in the public eye, but they have connections to the British upper middle class and a life of private wealth. While not aristocrats, they have lived in a similar social circle as the royal family, with Jack's upbringing involving privilege and a certain level of affluence.
DeleteBon et joyeux anniversaire à la princesse Eugénie ; j'aurais aimé bien voir les frimousses de ses enfants !
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday, Eugenie!!
ReplyDeleteI wish you and your beautiful family all the best.
