On March 12, 2025, the Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) held a festive ceremony at The Hague University of Applied Sciences to announce the winners. In the presence of Princess Beatrix,and Princess Mabel of the Netherlands presented the fourth KIVI Engineering Student Team Award alongside the Royal Institute of Engineers President Jacolien Eijer-De Jong. The Delft Hyperloop team won both the award and the public prize.

In 2022, the Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) Engineering Student Team Award was established, partly on the initiative of Dutch Princess Mabel. This recognition award for student teams aims to give future engineers a boost, showcase what they can achieve as a team, and increase awareness of their innovative projects.

    I love Mabel’s outfit. I could never wear it, but it suits Princess Mabel very well. Apparently she is using a cane. I hope she recovers quickly. It’s always a pleasure to see her.

    Yikes, the Missoni outfit not to my taste. Queen Beatrix looks lovely, good colour for her. The lady in the green suit, the look would of been okay had she work different footwear. A pump with any type of heel would of been okay, no too the booties
