On February 28, 2025, Princess Alexandra of Hanover attended Tod’s Fall/Winter 2025/26 Ready-to-Wear Show during Milan Fashion Week in Milan, Italy. Milan Fashion Week (Settimana della moda di Milano) is a clothing trade show held semi-annually in Milan, Italy. Upcoming autumn/winter fashions are showcased in February/March of each year, and upcoming spring/summer fashions are showcased in September/October of each year.
Tod’s brown wrap skirt in leather
She looks pretty - but for me it’s despite the skirt not because of it. The white blouse is lovely but perhaps not from Tod’s. Her lower lip looks inflated; I can only hope that such a young woman is not cosmetically altering her already lovely face!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a camera filter and photoshop was used…unnecessarily. Everyone looks a touch blurry and fake. Not needed because Alexandra is quite pretty naturally.
DeleteIn her family are women like Charlotte Casiraghi, Beatrice Borromeo - and then her own mother, who is a natural beauty.
DeleteWhat a natural beauty she is - perfect Look.
DeleteMESH
I don't think she has undergone any cosmetic lip surgery.
DeletePics are quite clear.
You can get this same result through a few simple makeup steps using just a lip pencil and at least two lipsticks for lip contouring.
It's a quite common and easy procedure used by hords of women nowadays , including models.
I can assure you that I'm not talking about average women, whatever you mean by the use of this word.

DeleteI think she used lip liner to make her lips looking bigger, which is not necessary since her natural lips are not small at all.
She has beautiful eyes. What’a more, I like her red nail lacquer.
ReplyDeleteNo comment for the rest.
Perhaps red nail lacquer is “alla portata di noi comuni mortali” Bleah! 😎 Irene
DeleteA nice look that would make nice business attire. I am not a fan of leather skirts or sleeves that hang below the wrist, but the outfit is nice. I do like the length of her hair, it has added body to it.
ReplyDeleteA very beautiful young princess from Monaco.
DeleteMary
@ Mary
DeleteShe is not a princess from Monaco, her mother is. She is called princess of Hannover the title stays but it doesn't mean much since Germany is not a monarchy. Charlotte Casiraghi the eldest daughter of Princess Caroline is neither a princes because she has the family name of her father, Princess Caroline's late husband.
Princess Alexandra looks lovely, but I am not so sure about the fit of the leather skirt, something about it, not sure. The crisp white blouse looks okay. Kitty is a very beautiful woman, as is Ella Travolta is equally stunning, beautiful ladies.
ReplyDeleteEnterely agreed, Ava.
DeleteRe: the leather skirt.
By the look of It on the model, I' d say that Alexandra wore a different model.
As I have got a pair of wrap and ruched leather skirts myself (in different colours though), the fit Is exactly like this.
It is meant to be a snug model and it sits quite good but needs a slim and toned body.
Alexandra pulled it off beautifully imo.
Her hair style and makeup( including manicure) are done to perfection.
As you said, also the others ladies look equally stunning.
....
Thank you for the beautiful and kind comment you wrote on another post.
I'm doing well.
Shifts were a bit hard but now I can rest for a while.
I hope everything is ok for you.
Hugs for you too, dearest Ava👋👍
P. the original. So splendid to hear from you, thank you. Agree with your comments. I missed the manicure LOL! yes looks beautiful, I wish!!!! Its so nice to have good nails. Lovely to see you commenting, I love to read your comments. I'm glad you are well and all is fine. I can imagine the shifts it can be tiring, I hope you are well rested. Take good care of yourself. Hugs to you. x
DeleteOn one photo, Alexandra tilts her head. On another, two other young women tilt their heads - but not Alexandra. Is this a secret way of communication when nepo babies meet? - The skirt, well the skirt has a long slit, maybe to distract from the fact that it does not fit well. Let's hope for better times, when the fashion colour mocha will have disappeared for eternal times.
ReplyDeleteShe looks nice, like the blouse. She has a great education; I hope fashion shows are not her main source of income?
ReplyDeletecss
Doubt Alexandra will ever need to worry about income!

DeleteMe neither. What is she doing exactly to keep herself busy, besides showing up now and then in Chanel or another big name in fashion land ? I prefer the 2 beauties on her right side.
I think without make-up and fashion she is average.
ReplyDeleteThere is something in these photos that makes me think: I don't buy it. As if she is pretending to be something she isn't.
True, without make up, camera filters, photoshop and possible cosmetic treatments most royal and royal adjacent women are nothing special to look at. But then most of us mere mortals are quite average too! 😁
DeleteIs the blond woman in the middle one of the Spencer sisters?
ReplyDeleteT
Si, è lady Kitty.
DeleteSi, è lady Kitty. E sono d’accordo con te su Alexandra.
DeleteSeldom have seen Alexandra look better. Beautifully applied makeup that is perfect for her pretty face. Delicate jewelry suits her. Like the fresh white blouse. I also like her hair length which frames her features. Is that Lady Kitty Spencer sitting next to her?
ReplyDeleteI agree with your comment — Alexandra’s petite frame showcases delicate jewelry wonderfully. Imo she very seldom makes any bad fashion choices; unfortunately this skirt is one, and I think the main problem with it is that the leather is rather thick and bulky-looking on her. I like the idea of Alexandra wearing leather, but it would need to be of a more supple and form-fitting variety. — Jane
ReplyDeleteWhat an ill fitting skirt. With no tailoring at all, just a strip of rather stiff leather wrapped around the hips like a bathtowel. And that is why the slit opens up so high. The two darts in the back don't help. And this for $ 3.000? Seriously? This skirt with this bad cut cannot look good on anybody.
Paloma.
Delete@Beth, yes. And though one can call this shirt fashionably oversized, I'd prefer to call it just large but devoid of any form. I remember the pant suit Princess Kako wore some weeks ago, that piece was oversized but with proper care for the proportions.
DeleteI think overnight Princess Alexandra has grown up and is now discovering fashion good or bad!
ReplyDeleteShe is not a princess since the monarchy was abolished in Germany in 1918....she does look classy and polished in these pics though
ReplyDeleteYou’re right. It always makes me chuckle to see people go on about the Olympia not being a princess but no such thing for Alexandra (of Hanover).
Delete@ GermanyJones 22:53
DeleteShe is called a princess like so many are called like that (Greece, Italy, Portugal,...). She is never called Princess of Germany.
I thought TOD'S made shoes. Not a fan of leather skirts with a slit up the side a bit cheap looking.I do like her blouse;shoes and clutch bag (Tara)
ReplyDeleteOf course, you' re expressing your impression but I doubt you've ever worn a skirt like this.
DeleteIf you wore one, you'd realize that it's not cheap looking at all, quite the opposite.
What is it about, p ?
DeleteI agree with 4:39, that leather skirts like this are cheap looking. Expensive to buy - but not attractive. This to my eye is an expensive but flimsy wrap skirt with little form that is ok when she stands but impractical when she sits. The wrong material for a wrap skirt. I would not be convinced to like it more if I did as suggested by P!
DeleteYeah, I’m sure it’s pricey, but it looks cheap : not fitted, not darted, just a wrap of leather with a tie.
Delete@ Anonymous 20:54
DeleteYou are not expected to wear this kind of skirt, it goes without saying.
Again, cheap looking and not attractive are your personal perceptions, just like the pricey point you made.
Maybe you just googled fo this item on the net but you have never seen and touched one .
Leather/ faux leather skirts are normally provided with a percentage of elastan - mainly 1-2% or slightly more to ease walking, moving and sitting.
Some of them are lined with a material which helps the wearer keep warm.
Re : the price
There are a lot of price ranges, from low cost brands to designer creations.
Price has nothing to do with some women wanting to wear them.
Do you think it's all about showing off money and status?
No, it isn't.
Or It could be just all about the wearer's personal preference?
Then, sorry for opening up about this point.
This kind of skirts need a slim and well- toned figure with curves in the right places.
You can have the money but not the figure to wear them.
I can't understand why you always insist only on price tags.
Finally, I think that labelling a piece as cheap looking sounds like you're demeaning the wearer more than the skirt.
