On Monday, April 21, 2025, Princess Isabella of Denmark will turn 18 years old. She is the daughter of King Frederik and Queen Mary. In celebration of Princess Isabella’s milestone birthday, new portraits of the Princess, taken by photographer Steen Evald at Frederik VIII’s Palace in Amalienborg, have been released. The birthday will be officially marked on April 11 and April 15 in Aarhus and Copenhagen.
On April 11, 2025, the City of Aarhus will host a birthday event at Aarhus City Hall, paying tribute to the city’s many young talents in creative fields such as music, sports, cuisine, and design. Among the invited guests will be approximately 100 young people from local youth organizations and educational institutions.
On April 15, 2025, Princess Isabella and the Royal Family will attend a birthday performance at the Old Stage of the Royal Danish Theatre, held in honor of Princess Isabella’s 18th birthday. The Royal House of Denmark, in collaboration with the Royal Danish Theatre, is inviting the young generation to experience an entertaining and diverse selection of performing arts, blending classical and modern elements. DR will broadcast the performance.
Ooh let’s hope she and her mum are in gowns and tiaras for the event!

What a beautiful young woman she became. She is wearing her Connaught bracelet ... as all descendants of Queen Ingrid of Denmark do, continuing a long-standing tradition as members of royal families should.

DeleteMary and Frederik are a typical couple with one having brown eyes with brown hair and one having blue/grey eyes and blond hair (a more ash-blond, if this word exists in english). It is interesting how these genes are mixed in their children.
Josephine takes much more after her mother than Isabella.

Her hair is dyed much darker. Before her hair was much lighter with blond highlights, which I preferred. She has the eyes of her father and of Queen Margrethe. She is becoming a very beautiful princess.

April 21st she will be 18 years old. Time sure pass fast remember when the first pics came out, she was wrapped in a blanket and slept through the whole event, of showing her to the public. She is a beautiful young woman, what will be next for her? She not only shares her birthday with the late Queen Elisabeth but also with my mother. A nice remembrance on two other grand ladies. Like her suit, it fits her well.
