At the invitation of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Luong Cuong, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are undertaking a state visit to Vietnam. The program includes various diplomatic, economic, and cultural visits and activities in Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Ho Chi Minh City. On March 30, 2025, the King and Queen departed from Brussels Military Airport in Melsbroek to travel to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

I like Mathildes outfit, comfortable for traveling. I still feel a bit sad, with Viet Nam, my husband passed away from Agent Orange. I wish them success, wonder if we will see a Tiara event?

Viet Nam and the surrounding countries still suffer from what has been left behind from that war, and I’m so sorry your husband was killed through those terrible war time tactics. It’s a beautiful country and I’m looking forward to the Royal tour pictures in the next days.

The stiletto haters can be reassured, Queen Mathilde is wearing lower heels. Her shoes are by Natan. Her coat is by Esmeralda Ammoun. It is a coat made of lace which is pressed into a neoprene fabric.
ردحذفQueen Mathilde is definitely keeping things stylish but with a little more comfort in mind. It sounds like she’s balancing elegance with practicality—lace and neoprene, what a combo! The fashion world sure knows how to keep us on our toes... or in this case, more on our flats! 🫣

Virginia, guess not every outfit needs to scream 'youthful' to make a statement. Some people prefer a look that’s classic, not just trendy. But hey, to each their own!

Queen Mathilde always looks great to me...hair makeup and clothing. I think Princess Stephanie of Luxombourg should be raiding Mathilde's closet, not her mother in law's. Mathilde and Stephanie's body shape seem similar to me
