The ladies look radiant ... Stephanies dress is a bit pale but the blue stash let's her shine and the cut this time is great.

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and First Lady Jane Ittogi Shanmugaratnam are dressed up very pretty ... probably enjoying being able to talk eye to eye because of the same height ... tall women with high heels please forgive me my POV ...

Most positive: Guillaume clean shaven and less weight!
    Much younger looking.
Elie Saab: Good; the Oscar de la Renta dress of M.Th. seems more black than blue?
Donot think the strapless is a good idea when you have to were a …( donot know what it is called in English). The flowered top is beautifull.

Love the hollyhock dress on the GD. Stephanie’s dress is perfect for her. Elie Saab is a good designer for her to use, as she did for her wedding. Lovely blue dress on the first lady. My only negative would be to see necklaces on the ladies. I know less is more and takes away from the dress design, but I like to see bling.

The Duchess shouldn’t wear strapless dresses since it’s not the best look for her. Hair and make up looks great. MR

    1. I agree and she favorites strapless so much, I think she tries to compensate her height by showing too much decollete/arms. She must love it as she does it time and again.

I’m always a little disappointed with the Luxembourg RF at these events.
Why does GD MT just wear a dress with sleeves? She seems to always be covering her upper arms with some wrap of sorts. It does absolutely nothing for her. I’m sure the dress could have been altered to carry sleeves.
HGD Stephanie. I like the dress, but the color washes her out. The front hem seems raised unlike the model version. I can’t tell if this was deliberate or whether it was poorly fitted.
The gentleman look very dapper in their evening wear.

I’ll go contrary to most here and say I don’t think it’s the right dress for Stephanie. It makes her look really big, and she simply is not. I think she may try to hide behind loose tops and dresses but structured looks are far more flattering for her in my opinion. She always looks soft and beautiful but I think this type of fabric and colour and form are not nearly as good for her as something more structured, more boldly coloured and a less bobbley fabric - which I think really only works for very slender bodies.

    1. I’m with you, Anon 19 04. I don’t think this dress flatters Princess Stephanie at all. The style is quite matronly and the colour washes her out. Perhaps the v neck version would have been better. GD Maria Teresa, on the other hand, looks fantastic, although she needs a better wrap/shawl

I read on another site that Stephanie’s dress is an Oscar de la Renta that once belonged to the GD and had it altered. So not a ES. Does anyone know? Perhaps that is why it looks off

I think it's a dress for someone 40 years older than Stephanie. It is a very matronly dress.

I don't think it is true. If you look at the publicity picture (last pic.) it is a dress by Elie Saab. The thing is that it doesn't fit well on HGD Stéphanie. The back part, a sort of train that is attach to the shoulders makes her look wider than she is. A dress without this piece of fabric would have been better for her and in another color. On Pic. N° 7 it looks like she is pregnant again.

Another crass comment from you, though I'm sure you can't realize It.
Some things should be taught and practiced since one's tender years.
One of this is decency, as
@ Anonymous 08:27 rightly pointed out.
Saying that a woman looks pregnant in the bullying way you say It, makes it appear something to be ashamed of.
Technically, what you are saying is called" fat shaming".
Supposing the Princess is pregnant again, what's wrong with It?
It might be a reason to celebrate and rejoice not something you see as a fault in her.
Learn what bullying/ cyberbullying is about, please.
It seems you do not grasp the meaning of either words and, once again, it doesn't surprise me.
I want to clarify that you are not forced to like any dress/ gown whatever and it is your privilege to comment on them as far as sartorial choices are concerned.
But you can't bully any woman due to the body shape you think she has.
What if other people should address you the same way, saying what you said about P. Stephanie?
I know you won't understand my words and you are very likely to reverse what I 'm writing now in order to put the blame on me.
That's the way you seem to elaborate reality, alas.
By the way, I want to inform you that I do NOT believe all Anonymous people commenting on this blog are the same person.
It depends on how Anonymous comments are structured and worded out.
Yours are very easily detectable for me, given your neverending nasty and judging tone and your misunderstanding of the most basic words.
Your writing style doesn't change a bit, no matter the names, initials, signatures, nicknames , languages or whatever you use.
It seems you don't realize how badly predictable and hammering your comments can resonate.
You keep on producing vitriolic posters, instead of putting and end to your evident hate.
As I once said, 3/4 of your comments should be deleted or not approved of at all out of your relentless and often cruel putting down most of the royal ladies portrayed on this board.

Any woman of this age should show less flesh, it simply looks more flattering, and I wonder why nobody advises GD Maria Teresa in this respect. Princess Stephanie looks very dignified and regal and her evening gown is very much adapted to her present figure, lovely to behold.

Virginia has right. GD M.-T. should better cover up herself a bit more. She has not the height nor the age or figure to expose herself like that. She can wear this on a Summer evening during holidays, but not on a Gala Dinner with the president of another state.

  14. GD Maria Teresa on the same path as so often - a strapless gown but then covering herself up with a shawl. I just don't get this strategy, sorry. Also, why is the shawl black (I think?) when the dress is navy blue, the flowers on the upper part aside. HGD Stephanie looks lovely, she really does, I like the sparkles on her dress, but the colour is not really becoming on her. The sapphire colour on the First Lady of Singapore is very fetching.

The ladies complaining about MT dress you have obviously never gone through menopause. If MT want strapless it's her perogative. If you want to dress as a nun it's your perogative.

There is a big difference between being dressed like a nun and wearing something that doesn't suit you. MT. has other gala dresses in her wardrobe which are beautiful on her, but not many. This one doesn't suit her. To dress like a nun you don't need to have good taste, to dress like a GD you need to have good taste, which unfortunately MT does not always has.
