On March 25, Queen Máxima attended two lessons on financial matters at the Coornhert Lyceum in Haarlem as part of the 14th edition of Money Week. Thousands of classes in primary and secondary education, as well as vocational education (MBO), use educational materials from the Wijzer in Geldzaken platform to teach children and young people financial skills. This year's theme is "How do you make your money dreams come true?"

Queen Máxima also attended a meeting at Vattenfall organized by SchuldenlabNL and the social debt collection working group of the National Coalition for Financial Health (NCFG). Social debt collection is characterized by early personal contact regarding payment arrears, customized payment arrangements, minimal collection costs, and the referral of financially vulnerable households to appropriate support services.

I like this dress on the queen. The fabric over one arm makes it look like a missing sleeve, but I am sure in reality it looks fine. Love the earrings makes a plain dress pop.

Maxima at her Best! I like her coat but don't care for the dress, too wrinkly and the belt is too big. But why oh why the sky high stilettos on a very tall woman?
It never looks good, and they look so painful on her feet and legs, why not invest in a pair of modern moderate and comfortable heels? Time to give these awful stilettos the boot!

There you are again, yesterday it was Queen Mathilde who was receiving the comments about her stilettos, today it is Queen Maxima. When I saw the picture earlier this afternoon I was awaiting your reaction. The stilettos are not painful on her feet and legs. Queen Maxima's legs are showing their muscles. By the way Queen Maxima has shoes with lower heels as well as boots. She wore them with pant suits during winter. As a queen she is also using a car and her chauffeur is at her disposal. She does not have to walk very far with her high heels.

The answer is : she has a problem over her not so slim ankles.

Why should she give up stilettos because she is tall? By this logic, all short women should be wearing high heels. And Queen Mathilde, who is also tall? Has she also to follow this edict? I don’t think they look at all painful or uncomfortable either.

Yes her ankles are not slim, so what ? As long as it is not due to an illness there is nothing wrong. Queen Maxima's legs and ankles never has been thin, just like Queen Mathilde is high-waisted. If I read these comments it is like you all are looking constantly for something to critisize especially these two queens. I wish I could see you, maybe there is a lot which is not looking good on your body too. Take a good look in the mirror and you will see.

Another person who can't wear stilettos that wants all women to wear the shoes she has to wear to make herself feel better. Height has nothing to do with it. That is just a poor excuse for trying to dictate what another woman should wear. Saying these shoes are "painful on her feet and legs" doesn't make it true. If she had pain, she wouldn't wear them. It is almost impossible to walk if you are in that kind of pain.

Why are the size of her ankles even being discussed? She doesn't have cankles. She has very nice legs and stilettos emphasize that.

    7. Personally, I think the shoes are fabulous. Secondly, I don’t think Queen Maxima looks at all uncomfortable and it’s possible to have comfortable stilettos. Thirdly I had never noticed that her ankles were in any way disproportionate for the rest of her figure. They still look fine to me! I don’t like the odd sleeves of the dress but the outfit is okay overall.

Anon.23;19 you have to read better before you react: it is not ME that has a problem with her ankles it is Maxima herself!

I like the idea of sustainability, but this dress has an ugly hem by making it longer, is looks a bit silly for a queen, I think it is time say goodbye to this dress.

The theme is money: is that the reason she misses one sleeve?

yes boring is the word for these shoes. And isn't it amazing how passionately some women defend these foot - and body unfriendly high stiletto heels. They are neither healthy, beautiful nor elegant.
And to suggest that people who don't like this torturous looking type of footwear because they themselves can not wear them, is laughable.

  11. Voyons donc, Maxima porte un manteau ceinturé qui paraît léger sur une robe qui lui va bien ; ses boucles d'oreilles me plaisent mais qui pourrait dire comment elles se ferment ?!
