Crown Prince Christian is currently serving as a soldier in the Guard Hussar Regiment in Slagelse. Yesterday, King Frederik, Queen Mary, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent, and Princess Josephine visited Crown Prince Christian at the Guard Hussar Regiment. The Crown Prince has been serving in the regiment since February 3. During his time at the barracks, the Crown Prince has also acted as regent of Denmark while his father was abroad.

Well, Vincent will soon have the same size as Christian, and Josephine will overtake Isabella, and their parents ... It must have been a nice time all together.

CP Christian is the spitting image of his mother Queen Mary while Princess Isabella (pict. 3) ressembles her grand mother Queen Margrethe when she was a young princess herself. The youngest children have something of both their parents and maybe of grand parents we don't know. Princess Isabella is trying on camouflage gear. Would she be interested in doing military service herself ? I often think at the mothers of these young princes and princesses who are serving their country these days. I know that Queen Mathilde is not at ease for her son Prince Gabriel not only because he is still at the Royal Military Academy and has been doing a lot of training on different levels already, but also because she says he is sombody who doesn't fear danger.

DeleteWonderful photos of the DRF together! Vincent has really shot up--he's going to be as tall as Christian soon. Looks like Josephine might be taller than Isabella even now. Also appears Josephine has borrowed her mother's sweater too--I believe Queen Mary wore this sweater in Greenland last year. Interesting to see Isabella trying on the camouflage headgear--wonder if she has any interest in military service.

Nice green sweater on Josephine. Nice to see these children together they seem to enjoy each other. Isabelle and Christian seem particularly close. Lovely family always dressed appropriately. Can hardly wait the the 18th birthday gala.

Nice to have every one of the family there at this visit. Isabella is getting a taste of it. Christian looks good and so does everyone.
