On March 6, 2025, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium hosted a lunch at Laeken Castle for a group of women in honor of International Women's Day (March 8). This year's International Women's Day theme, "For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment," highlights the importance of equal rights and opportunities for all women and girls. International Women’s Day (IWD), celebrated annually on March 8, honors the achievements of women across all aspects of life - social, economic, cultural, and political - while also advocating for gender equality.

    This is the kind of dress that suits her so well - no big skirt, no belt, good length, colour is, I think, nice on everyone. She really looks good in it (only a pant suit can beat this :-)

    Queen Mathilde wore this dress by Belgian designer Bernard Depoorter in October 2016 for a state visit to Japan. It is a beautiful dress that suits her very well. On the same state visit she wore other dresses in the same style. They all are still very beautiful and can be worn today as well.
