On February 11, 2025, the Princess of Wales visited the Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) at HMP Styal, a prison and young offender institution near Wilmslow. While there, the Princess of Wales met specialist staff supporting new mothers and visited a nursery for babies who spend their first formative months inside a prison.
During her official visit, the Princess met women being supported by the Action for Children charity, which runs three MBUs inside prisons in the North of England. These units provide a dedicated space for new and expectant mothers serving a prison sentence or on remand. The Princess became Patron of Action for Children in 2016. During her visit, the Princess of Wales wore a bespoke burgundy tartan coat by Blazé Milano.
She’s lovely. I heard on the rumour mill that she wants the focus off her clothes and onto her causes, which I find entirely admirable. If this is true, then the colours she’s chosen are brilliant for the purpose as it’s very difficult to distinguish the different clothing items or to identify them. Impressive lady.
ReplyDeleteI heard the same thing. The thinking is that she is wearing the same outfit from a few weeks ago for that reason.
DeleteGreat to see Catherine she looks fabulous. Mary
ReplyDeleteThe PoW looks lovely and healthy. Like the coat just right for the season. So nice to see her again.

Hear hear!
DeleteBella Catherine, che gioia vedere il tuo sorriso ♥️
ReplyDeleteCatherine looks beautiful. This outfit suits the visit and well done to her. The coat looks warm.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad to see Catherine re-wearing items from her closet. Our lovely royal ladies have a plethora of items that can be reworn time and time again. Queen Mary does this regularly. So I’m happy to see Catherine following suit.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
Looks like a nice warm coat. I find this length just makes such a long thin silhouette.
