Beautiful name - they must be very happy, a little girl after three boys. It's like in Silvia's family, she was the fourth child after her three brothers.

He's struggling with dyslexia. Also, he got a paper note with the names right before he announced them. He didn't know the names from before. Don't blame him.

Calm down…Ines is a girl’s name. It means ‘pure’ and chaste’. What makes you think it’s a boys name??

    7. It seems that you are greatly mistaken. Ines/Inés is a female name and originates from a variation of the name Agnes.

Queen Silvia's mother was from Cuba and there Spanish is spoken too, Inés is in Spanish.

    9. To be charitable, perhaps Anon 15 06 was thinking of Innes, a variation of Angus. The Gaelic is Aonghas, which then becomes anglicised as Innes

My brother and his wife had three boys and then were blessed with a girl, her name? Inés! She is now 19, clever, beautiful and a very nice young woman.

The king really butchered the baby's name. He said "Inse Silvia Marie Lilian", whereas her name is "Ines Marie Lilian Silvia". It's known he has dyslexia. Did nobody verbally tell him her name beforehand? Did they just hand him a slip of paper to read from? At least the king has said he is very sorry. Beautiful baby! ~~Ruthie

Lovely name. Lillian was not a British royal, but a model. She was the wife of Prince Bertil, Carl Gustav‘s uncle. Bertil and Lillian lived together for 30 years, until they married 3 years after CG became king. Both Bertil and Lillian were very much loved by the other royals. It’s a lovely tribute to a great love story and dear relative.

I love CP Victoria's grey dress and her jewelry. She looks very good lately. Unfortunately she inherited the dyslexia from her father.

I am a South African reading the comments.
How mean and petty to laugh at the discomfort of others. I make it a principle in my life to champion the cause of people with learning disabilities, being a teacher by profession and having been blessed with a wonderful daughter who also had learning disabilities herself. She had overcome most of it by our love, dedication and hard work.
Today she holds three qualifications through sheer hard work and determination.
