On February 19, 2025, the homeless charity Stëmm vun der Strooss (Voice of the Street) inaugurated its newly expanded social restaurant in Hollerich, with Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa in attendance. Originally opened in 2013, the Hollerich restaurant is Luxembourg's largest social dining facility. However, increasing demand for its services had stretched the space to its limits.
Founded in 1996, Stëmm vun der Strooss works to promote the social and professional integration of disadvantaged individuals. The non-profit organization, coordinated by the Ministry of Health, collaborates closely with the Luxembourg Red Cross.
In 2014, Stëmm vun der Strooss opened new branches in Hollerich, Schoenfels, Tétange, and Belvaux. Its beneficiaries include homeless individuals, the unemployed, recipients of the guaranteed minimum income, ex-prisoners, asylum seekers, migrants, and people with mental health issues or substance dependencies, including alcohol and drugs.
GD Maria Teresa looks great. Perfect proportions with the vest/slacks/belt etc. GD Henri is looking dapper as usual, but he does look tired.
ReplyDeleteThis charity Voice of the Street seems to do well. I am glad MT is involved in it. This can really help lots of people who need help. Hope some of the people don't let their pride be in the way to ask for help. Like MT's vest.

Well said agree with you.
DeleteWow, Luxembourg has the highest per capita income in the world. Interesting. And they had to open new facilities for the poor. Really makes you think.
ReplyDeleteWow! 🤔
DeleteWhat about Monaco ? They are not exactly poor either. The population is crowded by old movie stars, sports people, rich retired industrials, etc... yet each year Prince Albert at Christmas is distributing help packages of the Red Cross to "poor" habitants of Monaco.
DeleteYou are so right, Anonymous 01:45!
DeleteJ'adore le style du gilet blanc cassé de Maria Teresa mais pas du tout avec cette ceinture qui coupe trop sa silhouette ; son époux est toujours aussi élégant !
ReplyDeleteCute white vest and great smile on the Grand Duchess. I like her hairstyle - it has a youthful , rather playful look.
