Prior to the luncheon, King Felipe held a meeting with President El-Sisi, where they discussed matters of mutual interest and explored new avenues for cooperation. The Spanish and Egyptian delegations were also present. The meeting included the signing of an agreement elevating Egyptian-Spanish relations to the level of a strategic partnership, in addition to the signing of multiple Memoranda of Understanding in various areas of cooperation.

I miss her high heels, too. The lower heels really change the look of what she wears.

I agree that the outfit is lovely. It’s smart and classy and Queen Letizia looks great. While I certainly lament the elegance of her high heeled shoes, I feel that the main problem is that she has not adapted her skirt lengths to the lower heels. If she were to chop an inch or so off the dress lengths, they would look so much better

23:40 I agree with your observation that a shorter skirt would bring her outfits into proportion. Queen Silva of Sweden wears examples of skirt length with lower heels.

I like queen Letizia‘s dignified outfit, a very regal look with the superb family brooch. However, I don‘t know why half of her very long hair has to be thrown over her shoulder, Hollywood style, perhaps to add unnecessary glamour.

How else can you showcase your lovely hair

I don't understand what you are saying. I don't consider her hair very long. It is more shoulder length. Catherine has very long hair. What is Hollywood about her hair? Maybe you can explain. I see a very simple, unglamorous but nice style. And Letizia doesn't strike me as someone who is trying to gain unnecessary attention. From personal experience, hair falls over the shoulder depending on what movements you make, such as shaking someone's hand. I have also noticed the heavier side, when I have a side part, will fall forward easier. If you can explain what makes it glamorous, maybe I can feel extra special when it happens to me! I think some of what I said is evident on Catherine here:

    3. Vaya, esto es nuevo :)) Ahora habrá que evitar que tu cabellera caiga sobre un hombro para que una tal Virginia no te acuse de holliwoodense glamour innecesario. Pónganse en alerta, Royals del mundo. Tonterías a go-gó S.A.

  9. Q. L. looks so good here. Her hair so glossy and her makeup so pretty and minimal and her suit is so tasteful. Doesn't get much better than this outfit. I would suggest a pretty scarf to add some color but really she looks so good here.

What a perfect look of elegance. I wish for the days QL would have finished the look with a gorgeous pair of stilettos. But, her health trumps a heel!

A lovely regal look by the Queen at this event. I understand the need for low heels, but then I would prefer to see a shorter skirt. Balances the outfit out more. Take a couple inches off to hit just below the knee and it is still a professional look (no modesty comprised).

To me, Queen Letizia always seems stiff and cold.

  14. I agree with you all, she looks very elegant and yet simple. I'm glad she added a brooch, I do miss her stilettos, alas. And yes probably a shorter length would be nicer. Maybe she is hoping she is going to be able to use her high heels again?

Dear Anonymous 22:23, I had long hair once and know what it is all about. Princess Catherine is another example, a comparison, and my opinion is the same. Hollywood is a metaphor, nothing else.

Paloma.
