On February 25, 2025, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands visited the Anne Frank exhibition at the Center for Jewish History in Manhattan, New York City. The exhibition explores the life of Anne Frank (1929–1945) in the context of the Second World War and the persecution of the Jews. The centerpiece is a full-scale reconstruction of the Annex, where Anne Frank, her parents, her sister, and four other Jewish people hid.
Queen Máxima toured the exhibition accompanied by Ronald Leopold, the Executive Director of the Anne Frank House. Arranged as a chronological journey, the exhibition features a photo series tracing Anne Frank's childhood in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the rise of the Nazi regime and her family's move to Amsterdam, life in Amsterdam from 1940 to 1942, the period in hiding in the Annex (1942–1944), the Holocaust in Europe, and her father Otto Frank's return to the Netherlands.
This is a beautiful dress and it fits Q.M. so well. The detailing is perfection! I like her choice of accessories too. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI like this dress very much and her choice of earrings. She looks great.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree with you,
DeleteReine Maxima, toujours aussi expressive.
ReplyDeleteC’est aussi pour cela qu’elle est appréciée.
Robe déjà portée mais j aime toujours autant. Les BO paraissent très jolies et belle coiffure
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
Maxima has worn this lovely OdlR dress a few times over the years and both she and the dress look as good as when she first wore it. The deep royal blue with the white appliqué match so well together, and the fit and cut is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe Anne Frank story is both heartbreaking and inspiring in its depiction of the determination to survive in the midst of such horror.

Thank you Queen Máxima, just the right time to make this visit. That she looks adorable is a pleasant plus.

DeleteAgree.
100% her timing couldn't be better. And she looks phenomenal!
DeleteBeautiful appearance, dress fitting perfectly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful well tailored dress in an interesting style. QM's hair and makeup seem just right to me for this event. The shoes are all right if a bit old skool.
ReplyDeleteElle est magnifique et j’aime ses cheveux.
ReplyDeleteYou do? All I can think is: Come on - please wash and style your hair!!! It looks so unkempt. The beauty of the dress is lost against the neglect of her hair.
Delete@ Anonymous26/2/25 10:13, now you're just being mean and nasty. Clearly there's been effort in this hairdo. You just like to keep nagging on and on about about her hair. Of all the things you could comment on. Now the importance of this visit almost gets lost because your 'mean girl' pettiness. Shame on you.
Delete...and you managed to stain even this post with your hair obsession
Delete( just one of your obsessions).
How disgusting!
You stained one of the most atrocious history pages with your senseless and hammering jingle on Maxima's hair.
Do you know anything about Anne Frank and have you ever read her diary?
Please, educate yourself before judging Maxima or any other royal lady.
I wish you had a modicum of Maxima's empathy, compassion and good qualities.
I just wonder why your so - called comments are still accepted on this blog.
My previous comment is in reply to Anonymous 10:13

DeleteI agree with your comment. In fact one of the hair dressers in my town where I pass regularly when doing my shopping has the same hair style like Queen Maxima has on these photo's. This effect can only be obtained after the full treatment : shampoo, massage of the roots, brushing, hair products to keep it combed backwards, hairspray.
Beautiful dress!! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteYes but why is she wearing those gloves at some photos
DeleteI guess she likes them.
DeleteSuperbe robe même si je n'aime pas les impressions de la jupe qui me semblent en trop ; les boucles d'oreilles ont été bien choisies pour cette visite !
ReplyDeleteThis beautifull dress cannot be spoiled!
ReplyDeleteFinally she really dressed up
ReplyDeleteI love that dress. It looks sooooo good on her. But her hair looks like it was not washed. Perhaps this are the styling products. I do not like it.,
ReplyDeleteCC
I have seen the Queen wear this dress before. It's exceptional - so chic and sophisticated. Keep rewearing this one!!
