On February 25, 2025, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands visited the Anne Frank exhibition at the Center for Jewish History in Manhattan, New York City. The exhibition explores the life of Anne Frank (1929–1945) in the context of the Second World War and the persecution of the Jews. The centerpiece is a full-scale reconstruction of the Annex, where Anne Frank, her parents, her sister, and four other Jewish people hid.

Arranged as a chronological journey, the exhibition features a photo series tracing Anne Frank's childhood in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the rise of the Nazi regime and her family's move to Amsterdam, life in Amsterdam from 1940 to 1942, the period in hiding in the Annex (1942–1944), the Holocaust in Europe, and her father Otto Frank's return to the Netherlands.

This is a beautiful dress and it fits Q.M. so well. The detailing is perfection! I like her choice of accessories too. (V.M.)

Maxima has worn this lovely OdlR dress a few times over the years and both she and the dress look as good as when she first wore it. The deep royal blue with the white appliqué match so well together, and the fit and cut is perfect.
The Anne Frank story is both heartbreaking and inspiring in its depiction of the determination to survive in the midst of such horror.
