Queen Mathilde is undertaking a three-day working visit to Costa Rica. On the third and final day of her visit, she visited the University for Peace in the municipality of Mora, San José. The University for Peace is an international university and an intergovernmental organization established as a treaty organization by the UN General Assembly in 1980. The Queen then visited the Police Athletic League community program, which focuses on preventing childhood overweight and obesity.
FARM Rio Blue Printed Cotton Midi Dress
I like that designer Farm Rio , but the dresses are good only to wear to the pool parties not to visit University.

Mathilde is dressed perfectly.
DeleteMathilde is dressed well and adequately.
DeletePerfect outfits for the different occasions.
ReplyDeleteYes.
DeleteI absolutely love the photo of her in the game with her hands on her head! Well done photographer! I think Mathilde using a thick belt on these two outfits is not the trompe d’oeil that she hopes for. Far better for her dresses to have a slenderising fitted waist made from the same fabric as the rest of the dress and a form-following skirt (not a Natan full skirt). No belt, no waist tie. The recent pink dress was in my opinion her most perfect dress shape to date. She also looked brilliant in the suit she arrived to Costa Rica in. Because of endless long legs it is good for her to de-accentuate her waist, and there are plenty of great shapes that will do that for her.
ReplyDeleteI totally get what you're saying! The photo of her in the game is adorable, and the photographer did capture the moment perfectly.
DeleteThe blue dress is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe videomovies of this visit on "X" are interisting too. One can see the cotton dresses of Queen Mathilde while she moves. This particular one is much better than the other dresses she has worn until now. Maybe because of the fresh color and the light cotton fabric of which it is made. I prefer this neckline than the neckline in shirt style. Queen Mathilde changed her earrings by .white ones this time and continues to wear her beige wedges by Castaner. When she is invited to play football and volley ball she wears a tropical suit and changed her shoes for a pair of dark brown loafers. One can see she is suffering of the heat. In the meantime she is almost home again because yesterday was her last day.
ReplyDeleteYou can tell she's enjoying the visit, though the heat must have been tough on her.
DeleteThe blue dress is lovely.

I wish she had not worn that thick leather belt. It wasn't needed and never sits in a flattering place on her body.
ReplyDeleteI like the blue dress. To me it is the best cotton dress she has been wearing during this trip.@ 10:58 I think you have the wrong image about a University in this part of the world. Be sure the queen's journey has been prepared carefully by the people of Unicef and by herself taking into account the several visits for the UN and Unicef she already did in the past. @ 11:50 The pink dress you are talking about she worn at the reception for the (new) Belgian government cannot be compared with the easy cotton dresses she wears in a hot climate. The occasions are totally different. The pink dress is a formal one as queen of the Belgians next to her husband king of the Belgians. The cotton dresses she is wearing on this trip organized by Unicef are very appropriate. Be sure, you would never see queen Mathilde in a cotton dress vacation style to meet with the representatives of the Belgian government. The slender dresses you describe are already in her dressing room. The wide skirts were fashion the last 3-4 years. It is normal the queen wore this style of clothes too and they were not all made by Natan. She has several dresses which "de-accentuate" her waist, but these dresses are not suitable to wear during the day in a humid and hot climate. Maybe you should google the images of Queen Mathilde and you will see how many beautiful dresses she has.

I also like the blue dress, the suit as well ; it requires a belt but maybe not that one.
ReplyDeleteEven before I opened this post, the beautiful colour of the dress was obvious. Queen Mathilde looks great. Less convinced by the beige suit though it’s appropriate for the event. Good for her for ‘having a go’

I love this blue dress! It's perfect for the climate and Queen Mathilde looks smashing in it! This is my favorite look from the whole visit. The suit is nice but the belt is too wide--still it's a nice look for Mathilde. I love how game she's been on this whole trip but this sports day just might be the best. She is a marvelous representative for UNICEF as well as Belgium!

The blue dress is perfect for the weather, a nice light cotton. One minor thing I would change is the length of the sleeve. She has long arms so the sleeve sits higher on her arm than the model. To me it looks nicer when it covers 2/3 of the upper arm. A lovely lady
ReplyDeleteMagnifique ce style de robe bleue imprimée très rafraîchissante !
ReplyDeleteQM has knocked it out the park on this visit! I’ve loved everything including this blue dress. Its feminine and weather appropriate.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
Both outfits look nice, I particularly, love the very pretty blue and white dress, she looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery flattering and nice color.
