Belgium's Queen Mathilde is making a three-day visit to Costa Rica in her role as Honorary President of UNICEF Belgium. On February 10, 2025, the Queen visited La Minita Farm in San José. The farm produces coffee that is considered by experts to be among the best in the world. The Queen also visited the Child and Adolescent Safe Spaces project (Casas de la Alegría).

La Casa de la Alegría is a social responsibility project developed by CoopeTarrazú RL. It provides care for boys and girls aged 0-12, whose parents participate in the coffee harvest on cooperative farms, as well as on farms of associated producers and other neighboring farms. Parents can bring their children to Casa de la Alegría during the workday.

I adore this dress and how it works for Mathilde. EUR 800 so it’s incredibly pricey for a cotton dress even if beautiful; but girls, it’s currently on sale for EUR 400, so if you want it, now’s your chance!

This is a beautiful new long dress in thin cotton (voile de cotton), Queen Mathilde is wearing. The name of the brand of this dress is Emporio Syrenuse. It is the first time I hear about this brand. She is also wearing her ballerina's by Chloé and the Sézanne earrings and bag. The bag belongs to CP Elisabeth but is not visible very much on these pictures. On the last picture she was invited to make a bracelet herself. She copied what the girls on her side were doing, but said she was much too slow to do it good. At the end she received a bracelet made by the girls. To the reporter of the Belgian Newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws (HLN) who was travelling with her she said she'd probably give the bracelet to her youngest daughter Princess Eléonore.

The story about the bracelet is so sweet—her making it herself but ending up with one made by the girls, and then planning to gift it to Princess Eléonore, adds a personal, heartwarming touch to the day.

I am really loving QM's wardrobe for this trip and also her very interested and pleasant attitude towards all of the activities. Just one suggestion for this lovely red and white dress: I would have had less white around the hips. That calls a lot of attention to the hips and makes her look wider there, I think.

I think you are right about the white part, but I assume the dress is sold that way and I also think it must be difficult to change it because of the print. It is the same with the prints of the Zimmermann dresses. If you are very thin like the model it looks better. I also think this is a dress that is bought in prêt-a-porter and not made especially for Queen Mathilde. I like the third picture when she is dancing with the young girls. On the 4th picture I see the lady with the dark brown top. She is always following Queen Mathilde when she goes abroad. I assume she is the one who must help her with her hair, clothes, wearing her bag, ... she was also present at the World Economic Forum in Davos and sitting on the chairs of the second row behind Queen Mathilde.

And I would been seen dead in this dress, but it's up to Mathilde what she wants to wear.

  9. J'aime beaucoup ce style de robe adaptée pour le climat mais je ne peux pas dire que la partie médiane qui remonte trop haut convienne bien à la silhouette de Mathilde !

I also think this is a beautiful dress although I would have preferred the red colour on top.

  14. Not wild about this dress. I think it's the two tone sleeves and skirt. However it suits Queen Mathilde and seems perfect for the occasion
