On February 20, 2025, Queen Mathilde attended the concluding session of the conference organized by the Federal Council for Sustainable Development (FRDO-CFDD) on building a more sustainable and resilient food system. The Queen then met with young people actively engaged in addressing this critical issue, which involves food security, health, and responsible production and consumption.
The Federal Council for Sustainable Development (FRDO) advises the Belgian federal government on sustainable development policy. The FRDO-CFDD was established in 1997 to replace the National Council for Sustainable Development, which had been active since 1993. The Queen has been Honorary President of the Council since May 2018.
I am not keen of her clothes, nor her shoes.
ReplyDeleteWhat’s more, something is wrong with her hair too.
Nevertheless, she is one of my favorite queen. She exudes naturalness, simplicity, confidence and humility.
Weather: Extremely windy; Wonderful shoes, and clothes, very nice (well except Natan)
DeleteI think this dress is really good, am not a fan of capes, but totally agree with your last sentence!
DeleteI think this is among her BEST looks ever, yes ! A good compromise between modern fashion, elegance, nice and soft hair styling, 10/10 ! Quite appropriate to the occasion.
DeleteTotally agree.
DeleteI like the cape and I like the shoes. There is something off about the outfit. The skirt looks slightly too tight and slightly too short, but it also seems to sit too high, and the tucked in top just doesn’t look right.

I think you are noticing how high waisted she is. When she wears clothes that emphasize her waist, they will look out of proportion every time. I always think she looks her best with clothes that don't have a defined waist.
DeleteNo fan of animal prints but I really like this one. Nice hairdo !
ReplyDeleteIt's probably a windy day. The Queen is dressed in a professional style with complimentary colors. Personally, I am not a fan of animal print, but to each his own! I think the shoes are a nice change from the usual court pumps that most royal ladies wear. But I wouldn't want to see these all the time.
ReplyDeleteI’m not crazy about the dress. It looks a bit too tight and slightly too short. However, I think her relaxed hairstyle is gorgeous and very youthful. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI like this outfit best when she is wearing the cape, with a few bits of the animal print blouse showing through. Without the cape, it's a bit of a mish-mash for me. That said, the sizing, lengths and fit of everything is perfect. Mathilde pulls it off nicely.

About Queen Mathildes skirt and top : they were new in 2014. The animal print was fashion in that period too and it is again this winter. About her shoes : they are by Giorgio Armani and are rather old. About her hair : since it is always windy in Belgium Queen Mathilde's hair is flying upwards. Evidence that she is not using too much hairspray. I think she looks young among the young people.
ReplyDeleteMany consider leopard a neutral now since it has been in fashion so long. I think it looks great mixed with many different colors and textures. I don't care for her shoes. They look like they are formal wear, not for every day, and look dated to me. I agree with your comments about her hair. Hair should move. The days of overusing hairspray are long, long gone.
DeleteL'imprimé animalier s'associe très bien avec la jupe ; j'adore la couleur de ses collants très bien choisie - Par contre, je ne suis pas vraiment fan de sa cape !
ReplyDeleteOK, not wow. She needs to get away from NATAN for a while.
