On February 15, 2025, Queen Camilla attended the Betfair Ascot Chase Raceday at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire. Arriving at the racecourse, the Queen was greeted by Sir Francis Brooke, and Felicity Barnard. The Betfair Chase is a Grade 1 National Hunt steeplechase, which is open to horses aged five or older. The Queen met with students from Ebony Horse Club, which provides riding lessons and youth work support in south London.
The Queen presented the prize for the Ebony Horse Club Reynoldstown Novices’ Chase and then met with students from Ebony Horse Club. The Queen was appointed president of Ebony Horse Club in 2009. Queen Camilla wore a Fiona Clare white cashmere coat for the event, as well as her iconic horseshoe brooch. The horseshoe-shaped brooch consists of diamonds, rubies, and sapphires, and she wears it on special race days.
It might be fun for her to shop for another warm hat because this one is getting a LOT of use.
ReplyDeleteIndeed; I could not agree more! In this case, a black pillbox or toque with some saucily-placed white feathers would have done splendidly, imo.

DeleteBut there’s a risk Camilla would just buy the same sort of hat.
A true-blue country lady puts comfort and usefulness ahead of all that tra-la-la fashion stuff from designer milliners.
Her camel colour boots would look much nicer with this coat and hat !!
ReplyDeleteElle aura rentabilisé ce chapeau.
ReplyDeleteI do agree about the hat, but must admit that it looks great with this coat.
ReplyDeleteI love this hat on Camilla together with that white well-taylored coat. It's a pity that the boots don't have her hat colour. The black colour is too harsh
ReplyDeleteJe pense vraiment que Camilla a le choix pour choisir un autre chapeau que celui-là dans son dressing ; un modèle sans cette bordure à fourrure lui conviendrait beaucoup mieux !
ReplyDeleteThe hat is old and tattered, it needs to be put away, the coat is not well tailored, it is too tight (picture no.2) Camilla should have worn tan boots with a tan coloured hat or black boots with a black hat.

Love this beautiful coat and hat!
ReplyDeleteThe hat is over-used and too casual for some of the events. At least try mixing it up a bit and wear some other hats from the wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteThe hat looks scruffy,The white coat does not suit her.The girl with the blue coat and hat looks straight out of Ask the midwife. You could say; no fashion to see here.I like the green jacket on one of the attendants.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteLike the white coat, not so much the hat.
