On February 1, 2025, Princess Anne attended the Six Nations international rugby union match between Scotland and Italy at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. Princess Anne, who has been the patron of Scottish rugby since 1986, greeted players ahead of kick-off. Scotland won the match 31-19. Princess Anne presented the Cuttitta Cup to Scotland after the match.
The Princess Royal smiles more than in the past and it is very becoming and very authentic.
ReplyDeleteThat's just what I was thinking.
DeleteI think she's had many worries in the past decade that perhaps impacted her public face too--her aging parents, her son's divorce, COVID preventing her from supporting her mother during the time her father was dying, etc. Perhaps she's just more relaxed because constant worries are no longer pressing her. -- --Janet
DeleteShe looks to be having a good time. She looks well rugged up and warm, it must be very cold. Lovely to see her at this event. She's marvelous!
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteAlways busy, I really like her commitment to her charities all other duties. She can always be counted on to get the work done. Like her outfit today.

The Welsh RFU has Prince William, the English RFU the Princess of Wales but although she may not have the glamour of that couple, we Scots know we have the best!!
ReplyDeleteBravo AnnieM!
DeleteAnne needs to go to her hairdresser!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, her hair is not healthy and it looks like straw. A good cut and style would do wonder for her.

DeleteI definitely think that you should apply for a job as a hairdresser/ beautician (no extensions, please!) and /or a stylist for all these non- fashion friendly bunch of Royal ladies badly in need of good advice from you.
You obviously should select strict age appropriate pieces of clothing banning boring and dark colours and favouring pops of colour also at funerals.
Edgy necklines, slightly revealing shits, snug clothes and, above all, high heels would be seen as devilish stuff by you, of course. .
At the same time, I think you would be equally precious in suggesting how to set royal tables, entertain high- profile guests and so on.
What are you waiting for?
Entre un foulard qui a l'air élégant et une écharpe Tartan comme son ensemble, la princesse a su se vêtir très chaudement !
ReplyDeleteThe Princess Royal looks great here! Well dressed and warmly dressed--and I really like her outfit. I'm thinking this was a fun event for her too.

I agree she is smiling more in public. After reading her interview in South Africa, I can understand why she is looking at life differently. It was a lot more serious than the Palace let on to the public.
ReplyDelete* slightly revealing splits
ReplyDeleteDear P.The Original, I cannot understand your sarcastic, lengthy reaction to a factual observation. Princess Anne is a major, public figure who claims that she only needs 10 minutes to arrange her hair. This is fine for young girls, but inadequate in this case. I could be more specific, but I have reached a point where I no longer like looking at her, sorry, and all this combined with her unfortunate sartorial approach. She might not care, but the public does, good grooming makes older people attractive, just think of Princess Beatrix, Princess Benedikte and other „normal“ women around us.
