On February 24, 2025, King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark arrived at Holmens Church in Copenhagen to attend a service hosted by the Danish Parliament in commemoration of the anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. February 24, 2025, marks three years since Russia invaded Ukraine. As a sign of the Danish Parliament's support for Ukraine and solidarity with the Ukrainian people, the Danish Parliament marked the anniversary with a church service.
The King and Queen, along with members of the Danish Parliament, ministers, the Ukrainian ambassador Andrii Yanevskyi, and individuals with a special connection to the war in Ukraine, attended the service.
During the service, there was a sermon by the Bishop of Helsingør and Chair of the Council of Danish Churches, Peter Birch. Additionally, the Speaker of the Danish Parliament and the Ukrainian ambassador delivered speeches.
Very nice understated look for Mary.
ReplyDeleteQueen Mary looks great--understated as you say. The hairband keeps her hair off her face which she really suits.

KF has to be one of the most laid back royals. He looks good in the suit, but he should pull the right pocket flap out..minor issue. Love the queens coat, it look vey nice on her.
ReplyDeleteGood catch. He must have reached into his pocket for something. :)
DeleteWe all stand by Ukraine!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! 🇺🇦

DeleteAmen. I just hope the Ukrainian people realize the American people are with them despite the current occupant in the White House. Sorry, I know this blog is not suppose to be political but I just had to say that.
DeleteLove Mary's coat. That front split makes a big style difference. Hairband and low-key jewellery also on point for an event like this.

Well said , agree with you.
DeleteTrès classe. Belles chaussures et belle broche.
ReplyDeleteC'est le bandeau dans les cheveux qui semble moins chic, un petit chapeau tambourin aurait été mieux, avec un petit chignon. Paloma.
I like how she wears glasses when reading things.
ReplyDeleteI think she cannot read without them?!
DeleteAt Anon 19:26, she probably can but it's most likely a struggle. I started wearing reading/computer glasses at around the same age as Mary and that was the case for me. You just need a little help. :)
DeleteBeautiful coat, simple but perfectly fitting, Mary is very elegant, very distinguée. The headband is just the perfect icing on the cake, elevating the outfit to the desired level but not more. Frederiks always a bit too tight jacket cannot make me smile any more like earlier, when he was a young crown price ... today it is becoming just a tad ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteIf you notice other royal men their coat appears to be too tight but it is to bring attention to their upper torso where they work out to show off their physique. I do not see one thing ridiculous about King Frederick. I think he looks very proper and we all look different when we were young and their is absolutely nothing anyone can do anything about it!

Delete1. I wonder if you are talking about coats or jackets.
2. I wonder which royal men you are talking about ? King Philippe of the Belgians never wears coats or jackets which are too tight. Grand Duc Henri of Luxembourg the same. King Charles' coats and jackets are usually too large, nothing tight here. King Willem Alexander's coats and jackets always fit but never too tight. King Carl Gustav of Sweden always well dressed never too tight or too large. King Felipe wears impeccable jackets and coats. There are a few royal men whose clothes are too tight : Prince Albert of Monaco and HGD Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg. There are more royals I don't remember immediately but the majority is wearing normal suits and coats.
Stylish & elegant as always ❤️
ReplyDeleteAh, Mary at her loveliest. Does anyone know the provenance of that beautiful brooch? - Mary
ReplyDeleteOfferte par son beau-père à la naissance du prince Christian.

It is a moving tribute.
There won't be any fashion comment from me, just kudos to the reigning couple for their support 🙏😞
Thanks P. the Original for the link.
DeleteWhat a sad part of our history.
Don't mention it, Deadeggs.
DeleteYes, what a massacre, what a bloodshed.
You know, I keep wondering sometimes-...where is God?
I have been asking myself the same question in relation to the WW 2 and the Holocaust for decades.
Of course, there have been other commemorations in other countries.
ReplyDeleteShe looks terrific…she does elegant so well. And having her hair away from her face really suits her.
ReplyDeleteQuel magnifique look ; j'adore la manière dont elle porte son élégant serre-tête !
ReplyDeleteWhat great outfit Mary is elegant and classy.
ReplyDeletecss

DeletePerfect look from Queen Mary for this important commemoration. Understated, elegant, and sophisticated.
