Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie Hosts Meeting on Child Protection

Princess Stephanie wore a multicolor boucle tweed blazer jacket by Chanel. Gisèle Hubsch and Simone Flammang

On Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg welcomed David Lentz, Deputy State Prosecutor; Simone Flammang, First Advocate General; and Gisèle Hubsch, Presiding Judge at the Juvenile and Guardianship Court.

This meeting follows the visit to the Cité Judiciaire in May 2024, during which youth protection was a key focus. The visit of the Justice representatives provided an opportunity to discuss child protection issues, a cause dear to the Hereditary Grand Duchess.

I like Stephanies hairstyle today. Pants are not bad, not a fan of the jacket. I think it makes her look older, OMO of course.

    1. Well, not fan either of the jacket, a pity, she was underway for a lovely outfit and hair style etc ... I did not realize she is so tall.

My eye is drawn immediately to the black and solid ivory jacket. It just pops and is lovely.

Yes, I think so, too. She has become much more elegant since the anouncement of the date of her husband becoming the new Grand Duke

Yes , Ava, the jacket is lovely, though I would have gone a size up.
The pants...well, not the best tailoring but the colour is so beautiful and cool!
I'm not sure the Princess is wearing heels.
      She is naturally tall.

That outfit is simply horrible. I like Stephanie but she needs to hire a stylist, at least a part time one.

5:48 is there another way you could state your opinion without potentially making her cry if she stumbles across your comment? It not horrible - but maybe not to your taste? Do you have suggestions or can you break down what you don’t think is working?

@Anon 13:07 Perfect comment. We need to remember the manners we certainly were brought up with. Kindness and empathy go a long way and word choice matters.

Although it is a good combination of trousers and lovely jacket, it is not good for her: it makes her very tall next to the other women.

There’s nothing wrong with being tall! - but in this case it’s because she has heels, whereas the lady to her left appears to be in flats. Anyone who wears heels IS wanting more height so she has succeeded?!

-Dorothe-

I like the jacket but would have swapped the colours of the top and trousers - burgundy trousers plus pink top. I think this would have created better balance
    In the outfit. (V.M.)

    1. Yes, I think that would have made a better look all together. Basically, there's not much wrong with her outfit, just that something seems slightly, slightly off the mark. She has worn much worse combinations in the past. So, this is an improvement anyway.

Bof.
Elle peut mieux faire ! Paloma.

A slimmer leg would look worse on both because it would emphasize their hip area, where wide legged pants disguise it. You want clothes to glide over perceived trouble areas to give a smoother line.

Well, at least she's trying and giving an effort. However, I agree with other posters that with her resources and the prominent role she will continue to play as Grand Duchess, she really should consider hiring a stylist and not just a friend who is stylish. An actual, professional stylist.

  11. Une combinaison qui n'est pas à l'avantage de Stéphanie surtout au niveau de la veste ; dans une couleur unie comme du Bordeaux, cela améliorerait grandement son allure !

Nice outfit, a colour she turns to often. Perhpas if the jacket was an inch or so shorter it would balance the look. Also the blouse in either a different colour or neckline would be better.

Like almost always the jacket is too tight around the waist. The cut of the pants is not good. She has wide pants which fit better than this one. I don't think the colors look good on her. Another range of warmer colors like dark orange or aubergine, wine red or deep pink and a complete pant suit in the same color would be better.

Marie.

I distinctly remember Stephanie before she got married and I recollect that she was very well dressed and was more interested in clothes. Then she entered a painful period, she finally became pregnant, her figure changed, another baby arrived, and I imagine that all this influences her sartorial choices. Many new mothers face the same problems and are even unhappy about certain changes.
Perhaps we should show more empathy and wait until her official role changes.
At least she has no desire to outshine her mother-in-law who is absorbed in her irritating craving to look younger than ever.

Bravo Virginia! This is very likely the story. We should - above all - be kind. Secondly, we should focus on critique of the fashion not the human.

What I like about Stephanie is that she is comfortable in her position and what she has to do. She comes from an aristocratic family, she has grace and kindness, and just perhaps clothes are not that important other than being appropriate for the occasion. She is a class act imo

Nice jacket but the trousers is terrible. A black skirt had been a much better choice.

Disappointing again. I am unable to understand how no one at the ducal palace is capable to give her some basic style advice. Disappointing.

00:35 they probably did advise her: don’t read comments about yourself on social media, they can be very very hurtful.
