Lovely court dresses. The cousins both have what looks like tapestry handbags on a delicate gold chain. Princess Aiko dress could be fitted abit more snug so it fits better. Interesting that the details of buttons on the sleeves is the same on all the court dresses. Exquisite pearls

  3. The first word that came into my head after looking at the photos …….“dignity”.
My computer dictionary says ……. “a composed or serious manner or style”.
    Happy Birthday to the Emperor.

The cream and white Empress costume is amazing! Really nice jacket and very well fitting. I applausse. But, please, please, don't publish pictures of the Empress where we can see her skirt. Because we know the cut of the skirts of Japanese royal ladies.

Your correct the court clothes have strict requirements, however they do have subtle difference, so we need to see the complete outfit to appreciate how it looks overall.

Some women are just innately elegant, and HIM is one of those women. She knows what suits her,and she wears it well.
