In her capacity as Honorary President of UNICEF Belgium, Queen Mathilde is undertaking a three-day working visit to Costa Rica. On the first day of her visit, the Queen met with the President of the Republic of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chaves Robles, and First Lady Signe Zeikate at the Presidential Palace in San José. Following a meeting with government ministers, the Queen visited a coffee plantation supporting the children of seasonal workers.
The white and pink background of the suit looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteThe queen looks lovely in her dress, nice colour. The jacket of the first lady has an interesting construction. Sort of a short peplum, and bell cuffs. Colour is very tropical
ReplyDeleteI wouldn’t call it awful but I prefer the style and pattern of the President’s wife’s outfit. The wide skirt and horizontal pattern are not so flattering for Queen Mathilde

DeleteAwful is a harsh word. What kind of style would you prefer?
Delete@Anon 14:10 I don't know on which planet you are but here on Earth shirt dresses are in fashion .

I was very happy yesterday with her really fabulous trouser suit - today I am sorry to say that this dress does not look much different than a freshly ironed house dress.
ReplyDeleteHmmm I agree that the style isn’t particularly glamourous. Freshly ironed house dress isn’t too far off. I dont think full Natan skirts ever work for her, and this doesn’t; although the material is lovely on her and the whole dress could work if a straight skirt (like the pink dress we saw last week) and without the tie belt.
DeleteKudos to Queen Mathlde .
ReplyDeleteWonderful visit.
I understand she must feel a bit unconfortable.
Climate in Costa Rica is mainly humid and it's not easy to cope with it.
Her dress is perfect.
* The climate
DeleteOn February 10, the first day of Queen Mathilde's working visit to Costa Rica she wore a dress which was made for the state visit to Greece on May 3, 2022.
ReplyDeleteIt is a simple cotton dress with an exotic print and excellent to wear in a hot climate. She wore her earrings made of Chalcedone and Cabochon Saphire and a leather clutch called "Emmanuelle" in the color "Oyster" by Belgian brand "Voort Studio".
Queen Mathilde's outfit was both stylish and practical for her visit to Costa Rica. The dress, originally worn for the state visit to Greece, seems like a smart choice for warm weather, given its cotton material and exotic print. It is always interesting to see how royal wardrobes can blend function with fashion across different occasions and climates!
ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde looks lovely in this simple shirt-waist dress--the blue and cream colors are so pretty on her. The First Lady of Costa Rica is wearing a beautiful suit and looks so elegant--she is a lovely lady.

I agree, both ladies look stylish.
DeleteVery nice look for both ladies.

Absolutely love the stunning suit of the First Lady. The Queen’s dress is ok. Maybe to combat the heat, she should wear white and ivory outfits in light weight fabric - but not florals.
Paloma.
